Avoid patronizing this over-rated excuse for a business
1 Star Rating: Not Recommended

This place is a disgrace. They lack respect toward any customers. I booked two shaves over a week in advance for my brother and I on his wedding day. The person answering the phone was very rude, not helpful with short responses, and the booking process was extremely cumbersome. For an undisclosed reason, pre-payment was required up front for a $35 service. My brother and I arrived 15 minutes late for our appointment due to atrocious construction traffic in Uptown New Orleans. I told the booker this was for my brothers wedding day, but they still refused to accommodate us upon arrival and told us they would not give us a shave (a 30 minute process). This was at 3:15 on a Friday afternoon with no customers in sight. Furthermore, they charged me for both shaves even though they did not provide the service! Their snide remark was "It would not be fair to you to do only half the service.". In reality, they did not want to provide the service. I informed the booker that I live in NYC so rescheduling was not a realistic option. If refusing service is a policy, they should inform people upon booking. Often, people will run late due to forces outside their control. Aidan Gill assumes it can unfairly charge people for services not rendered and disregard customer service. I will never patronize this sad excuse for a business and telling everyone I know to do the same. The employees are extremely pretentious. They saw two younger men and assumed we did not meet the economic profile of their clientele, but they were wrong on that one and very rude. UPDATE: Spoke to the owner, Aidan Gill, and the apple does not fall far from the tree. He verbally assaulted me, used unrequited profanity, insulted my intelligence, and showed complete contempt for customers who complain. He offered no way to resolve this situation which only solidfies my previous claims. Aiden Gill and this place are a disgrace to legitimate New Orleans businesses and southern hospitality. Please avoid.
