On our first visit to New Orleans, we accidently stumbled upon this bar. Since it shares my name, I had to check it out! It was a great escape from the typical New Orleans madness. Great beer & great music. It makes me wish I was Irish! The bartender was super friendly & pretty nice to look at too! ;) I noticed all the dollar bills on the ceiling & let my husband & the other patrons talk me into putting my own up. After that night, The Kerry became "our bar". Since that visit, we have been there 3 more times. Last year we were lucky enough to be visiting during the Kerry's anniversary party. It was so much fun! We vowed to go to New Orleans at least once a year & with each visit, we will stop in & say hello to The Kerry! It has a small town bar atmosphere, yet it makes everyone feel welcome! If you are extremely lucky during your visit at The Kerry, you will get to see the local band "Rites of Passage"! This band is so great & so fun & by the end of the night, you feel that you are old friends!
