We recently stopped in Kerry to have a Guinness and then make our way further up Decatur Street. The band, Rites of Passage had just started playing a set so we decided to linger a while; this band was that good. More than two-and-a-half hours later, R O P was still on the small bandstand, still playing with terrific energy and talent. Needless to say, we pounded back more than that initial stout. If Rites of Passage is typical of the entertainment booked at Kerry, a stop here is mandatory for any visitor to the French Quarter--local or tourist alike.
