I usually use Felix as a fall back to Acme when I can't get in. This trip we tried a few things, the raw oysters were sweet, cold, fresh. The chargrilled oysters were not cooked enough, the turtle soup was hardly edible and the gumbo was average at best. If you go here, stick to the raw bar; beer and oysters are a safe bet. Out service, during the BCS LSU Ohio state game was fine, not terrific, not terrible.
Pros: raw bar good
Cons: prepared food average to poor

They really went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a miserable experience. After waiting 30 minutes on a table, the manager suggests we split our party of 6 between 2 tables. Logically, you'd have one waiter looking after both tables, not the case. Table 1 ordered their drinks, their meal as we waited. About 10 minutes later their drinks and appetizers came while we (table 2) were still waiting on our waiter. We even brought it to the attention of their server and still nothing. Table 1 was served their main entree and we still hadn't gotten our waiter. Once he finally did come over, it was obvious he was a bumbling idiot. We put our order in and 15 minutes later (after table 1 had finished their meal) we still didn't have drinks. We brought it all to the managers attention, and he did nothing to try to remedy the situation. If anything he was standoff-ish and rude. Three other table around us got up and left during this time from similar pathetic service. Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Felix's Seafood as possible.
Pros: Can't Think of Any
Cons: Service, Food, Everything Really

I have been going here since 1971 and with each trip to Felix’s it has been slowly going down hill till nothing of its former glory remains. They have reduced the size and quality of the restaurant, oysters, food, you name it, it’s gone downhill! It you want better oysters go access the street to Acme, If you want the best, go to Casamento's on Magazine Street.
Pros: None
Cons: Everything

A nearly perfect visit included fresh oysters on the half-shell, cold Abita beer, a beautiful day and a view of Bourbon Street from the balcony dining area.
Pros: fresh, cold oysters, view, friendly wait staff
Cons: none

All the N.O. natives go here. The place is rustic, but the food is great and inexpensive, considering that it's on Bourbon St. I've eaten there for years, always good.
Pros: great food, good prices

Location and price are what attracted us here, but what a mistake! I'd rather have spent $100 more and eaten anywhere else - even McDonald's! Totally inattentive wait staff, small portions, tasteless food. Only good part was the liquor license - but who doesn't have one on Bourbon St?!?!
Pros: Dirt Cheap, Location
Cons: Service Stinks, Food is horrible
