Disappointing!

Our recent visit to Mimi?s was very disappointing and we would not go back anytime soon. Members of our group ordered the pork chop, the filet, the seafood stuffed eggplant and the red beans and rice. None were spectacular. The filet and the chop were average in flavor, were not cooked to the requested doneness and were very small for their price. The side dishes were similarly disappointing ? small and flavorless. Potatoes are cheap so you would think they would at least give a generous portion of those to offset the pricier meat. Not so! The red beans were mediocre ? they were not completely eaten as a result. The eggplant contained a good stuffing but was undercooked and unpleasantly firm. The appetizers were better although not large ? I can recommend the crabcake as quite tasty. But decent crabcakes can be found at other places where the rest of the menu is as good. It is not worth a trip to Mimi?s just for one decent appetizer. Some members of our party had eaten at Mimi?s in the past and found it to be much better. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day or perhaps they?ve just gone downhill over time.

Good atmosphere and Great food

Courteous and helpful from the moment we walked in. The specials of the day were our choice, but eveything on the menu was tempting. A great place for a special evening out.

hidden gem

i'm very glad that i found this restaurant. the food is great, the servers are attentive, and there's a great wine selection. the daily specials are always good and the key lime pie for two is to die for! entree prices range from $13 - $22.
