Deliciously Great Sushi and Great People
by plambousy
Hanna was one of the first sushi restaurants to open after Katrina. They re-opened Oct 2005 and it became my home away from home. The management and wait staff are some of the most considerate and genuinely nice people I've ever come accross. The sushi is always fresh and wonderful. The "Hanna" roll is the bomb. I recommend Hanna to new and old sushi lovers alike. It is the best sushi restaurant in New Orleans - period.
- Pros: They are sushi pros
- Cons: None
Great Squid Salad, get hana sauce!!!!
by sushilover17
Ok, this has to be the BEST sushi in New Orleans! Now I'm a southern kid who like his crawfish boils and po-boys, but there's another side to me, a side that loves adventure. I really love sushi and nothing compares to Hana. I crave Hana and am actualy afraid to eat sushi anywhere else for fear of the taste. I know Hana uses the freshest of the fresh. The staff is very friendly. Be sure to order a Japanese Sprite! My favorite food is squid salad, you can get this with or without mayonaise noodels. Mayonaise noodl are AWSOME. It doesn't sound apelaing but its watered down mayonaise over noodles. IT'S GREAT!!!! You get this before your meal, so you may as well try it. There are many rolls that satisfy your hunger. These large sized rolls range from bbq eel, to snow crab. Cooked dishes are served such as shrimp tempura. The staff is extremely friendly. Prices of rools rangle from about $4.00 to $11.00 (larger, MUCH LARGER, rolls range in $11.00) but all the rolls are relatively large. Please dont pass up the squid salad and hanas sauce. I'm sorry for typing so much, but this place is just a place to brag about. If you've never been to Hana's then you've never tried the best sushi in New Orleans, or maybe even the world, lol. See ya Dawlin' Come to New Orleans fa dat sushi.
- Pros: ask for Hana sauce, THE BEST SUSHI IN NEW ORLEANS
- Cons: Don't sit in the corner like a mistake I made, which is the only unpleasent experience I've ever had with Hana's service. I took a while to get drinks and it seemed like we were forgotten. Lol.

Although I no longer live in New Orleans I really miss eating there. Im always temped to drive to (1209 miles) New Orleans just to eat the sushi and their noodle salad is to die for. Now remember to order extra Hana Sauce with your meal, trust me you will not be sorry. Take advantage of this yummy restaurant because no other sushi restaurant will ever satisfy your hunger for Hana

Fresh sushi and sashimi served with special Hana-sauce along with cooked dishes like teriyaki, miso soup, tempura and ice cream.
Wish I could eat there every night

I lived in New Orleans for over 3 years. The first few months, we tried 15 different places in search of a sushi home. The last one we tried was Hana. We never went anywhere else. They have the largest, freshest, most interesting rolls of sushi I have ever encountered. I get hungry just thinking about their special Hana Sauce. We have since moved to North Carolina, and my sushi world has been completely shattered. Nothing compares. Not even close. Try it if you're there or you'll never know.
- Pros: Generous, huge rolls, Super friendly staff, 2 words. Hana Sauce.
- Cons: , No good place to wait
