Wonderful Lebanese on Carrollton Avenue New Orleans

I always have a great experience when I dine in or take out from this restaurant. The food is always fresh and tasty. The service is always nice. They make the best gyros in New Orleans. Tip: Check the daily specials for treats not on the menu.
- Pros: Great service and great food at an excellent price.
- Cons: None
always a winner

takeout or dine-in (even outside with a dog) lebanon's is always fresh and flavorful. great value and service too.
Exceptional value for the buck, and the flavor is superb!

I can't vouche for dining in, though I've done so once and it was a great experience. I can, however, testify to the fact that carry-out from Lebanon's Cafe is some of the best in New Orleans. The portions are enormous (I'm a 180 lb. fellow and one dinner taken home easily gives me two nights worth of meals), the quality and freshness is top-notch, and flavor-wise this is as good as Lebanese food gets. FYI - this is a BYO restaraunt and they encourage you to bring your own wine or beer to enjoy with some great food. Highly recommended!
Try it - you'll definitely like it!
- Pros: Flavor, freshness, portions, value.
- Cons: Parking can be a challenge on weekends. Othewise, none!
Favorite hummus and pita anywhere!

In a city where you have to search far and wide to find a bad meal - this is by far what I crave when I'm out of town. Everything is above and beyond. Honestly, the hummus is smooth, creamy, and flavorful. DO NOT MISS the Sauteed Vegetable plate - aromatic rice covered by veggies (tomatos, squash, onions, eggplants, etc) sauteed in olive oil and covered with a generous helping of feta cheese and baked. I am a mean eater and when I have time to sit down and savor Lebanon's this is what I must order. My mother swears by the lamb chops but skip the side salad and opt for more rice or hummus.
I'm getting hunry just thinking about Lebanon's - pita bread here does come in whole wheat and far superior to Mona's.
- Pros: Excellent food, good prices, good portions
- Cons: Inconsistent service

Lebanon's is a really cute Uptown Cafe with good food, especially the stuffed grape leaves. It's Middle Eastern/African food, so it's a good place for those with adventurous palates. Prices are reasonable, especially by Uptown standards.

I have enjoyed Lebanon Cafe for almost 4 years now. My girlfriend is the one who turned me onto it, and I am truly thankful for not only her, but some incredible food. I have nothing but the highest reguard for the owner and all of the workers. The food is always hot and fresh and always delicious. We live on the Northshore so whenever we come to town THIS is where we eat. This is the food of the gods as far as I am concerned. We have never had a bad experience and the staff are always kind. Thanks for a wonderful place to get our fix.

yuummmy! I lived in NOLA for four years and frequented Lebanon's every monday, and let me tell you, MONDAYS ROCKED MY WORLD! My boyfriend and I would bring a bottle of wine, split an entree (although you really don't have to everything is super reasonable), dine and walk to Bruno's on Maple for quarter pitchers. We had so much fun, and now that I'm away, mondays aint the same :) Try...well, anything, it's all fantastic and very authentic. DO NOT MISS THIS RESTAURANT!!!
- Pros: Fabulous fun, OUTDOOR SEATING, great flavors
the best!

My boyfriend and I discovered Lebanon's when we went on a late night gyro run...unfortunately, they are closed by 11, but when we got there early the next time...everything on the menu is wonderful, fresh and inexpensive. Make sure you get the lebanese tea and the summer salad to start, the tomatoes are always perfectly fresh and the mozzarella is amazing!!! One of the best, and most underpublicizes restaurants in town!!
- Pros: On streetcar line, inexpensive
- Cons: no parking, crowded Fri/Sat night
No-nonsense Middle Eastern specialties in the Riverbend.

The Scene
With its wall-sized bazaar mural and cobbled-together feel, Lebanon's is the kind of comfortable joint you'd expect to find in the university area. The tables are usually packed with budget-minded students grabbing a quick sandwich and neighborhood regulars out for the evening.
The Food
Local vegetarians can finally breathe easy. Lebanon's features standard Middle Eastern fare with an emphasis on both grilled meat items (kabobs, gyros) and vegetarian salads and finger foods (humus, baba ganuj, grape leaves). No real surprises here, just garlic-heavy specialties perfect for scooping up with hand-torn pita bread. Try the two-serving chef's special for a broad and filling sampling of various appetizer offerings or the outstanding chicken kabob entree.
