a lovely surprise (a pre-Katrina stay). We'd looked at several travel sites, reading reviews of many French Quarter hotels and worrying about our stay. Then we decided it was only one night, so we'd find the best for our needs (2 adults, 1 child). The staff at the hotel was very helpful, both over the phone and in person. The free valet parking and free continental breakfast were unusual AND appreciated. The courtyard was lovely. We were busy thinking of a return trip when Katrina hit. Hopefully the Chateau Hotel will again welcome guests!…
User review by sofeleh. Stayed here on our honeymoon because it was affordable, well located and has free parking. It was practical, quiet, pretty and the rooms were nice and clean. However the only drawback was that the front desk staff (the rest of the staff was great) was terribly unfriendly and gave us attitude. Not sure why because we were very nice.…
Will stay again. Stayed here June 2004 and have reservation for June 2005. When making reservation make sure you ask for a room with a window because they do have rooms that do not have any windows. Staff was very friendly and helpful, Hotel is in a perfect location in the quarter. Two blocks from Bourbon and Two from Jackson Square, Cafe Dumonde and many shops and restaurants. Free secure parking which is unheard of in this area.…
