Funky Italian on Frenchman
by bluepl8special at Citysearch
Funky Italian! We usually bring our own wine and almost always order the Lamb. The veal or fish with ocean sauce is always a good bet, too. Quirky service.
- Pros: Reasonable for quality and quantity
- Cons: cash only, basic wines
GREAT FOOD, WITH ATMOSPHERE
by UpTownPaula at Citysearch
No linen here, but you'll get past that once you've had a taste of what this restaurant has to offer it's guest. The wine list is short and I have brought my own with me with no objections from the staff. I have eaten here often and yet to be disappointed, my favorites are the escargot, mussels with tomatoes and lots of garlic, the lamb, and fish Michele. The atmosphere is a bit European, a nice place to enjoy some of New Orleans less expensive, yet very creative food.
- Pros: Excellant food, cozy atmosphere, nice people, good music near by.
- Cons: Parking
cozy atmosphere, delicious food

start with a couple drinks at the apple barrel then head upstairs for delicious italian food - you can smell it as soon as you walk in. even the bread and basic marinara are excellent. try the crab and corn manicotti.
Tres Bien, Great Food, Friendly Staff, Cozy Atmosphere

New to NOLA, my first visit certainly won't be my last, I loved the cozy atmostsphere, the fish was devine, lamb chops were good (next time I will ask for more garlic). If the service was slow I didn't notice, nor did I care I was having way too much fun with my new NOLA friends.
Best place in New Orleans
by siucmusic at Citysearch
We went on a Cemetary Tour on our very first day in New Orleans. Our tour guide was nice enough to give us a few eating suggestions. Aldofo's was one of them. Try the corn and onion cannelloni. We all ordered something different and we ended up picking off of each other's plate. I can't say what I liked the best! Aldolfo's definitely has some of the best food I've ever had! The kitchen doesn't open until 7:00 at night...so make sure you take a cab.
- Pros: Food, Atmosphere
- Cons: Bathroom, Loud music
Unfortunate experience
by nolaguy at Citysearch
I had eaten here several times and had always considered it a hidden gem. However, tonight's experience will prevent me from giving this restaurant another chance. The food took far too long for a half empty restaurant. The staff's response was "I don't know, I'm not in the kitchen." There was no offer to comp a dessert or even a glass of wine; and note, I was in the restaurant business for 15 years. I'm always willing to consider extenuating cirsumstances. However, tonights experience is beyond explanation. It will be my last time to dine at Adolfo's.
- Pros: location, value
- Cons: poorly traines staff, attention to detail
Hidden Gem

Wonderful little hideaway with great food and service. Cozy (could be romantic) atmosphere. Great place to catch a bite before going to snug harbor or the spotted cat.
