I believe in giving second chances, but I really wish we did not, as this second chance was so not worth $130.00 !!! The first time we visited this restaurant, the food was so greasy that I had an upset tummy before we even left the place! This time I ordered something different from what the others in our party were eating (they ordered one of the platters), and still I was very disappointed! The stuffed shrimp (supposedly stuffed with crabmeat) was horrible! Not only was I forced to order the more expensive dinner portion (we missed "lunch time" by half hour or so and I eat very little), but the taste was overwhelmed by the spices (and I do use hot sauce regularly), I could taste nothing but the spice! My kids hated the taste of the food on the platter, as it tasted just like my stuffed shrimp! We all like spicy food, but this was way too much! Also, the potatoes brought out are awful, the patrons should be given a choice of rolls instead! I would not be so upset if we did not spend do much, but if I am paying over $100.00, I expect better food and service! This place will NOT get a third time out of us! I should have taken my cue from the woman who left while we were waiting, she said that was the worst food and sevice she had, next time I hear someone leaving a place saying something like that, I WILL listen!
Cons: poor service, do not get your money's worth

Deanie's is the perfect place to go with a large group looking to stuff themselves with delicious seafood. Their food is well priced and the portions are enormous. It's hard to choose which is better out of their boiled seafood, but I think their crawfish is to die for. Also, try their stuffed shrimp.
Pros: Good seafood for a good price
Cons: Not good if you're looking for a quiet night out

Deanie's Seafood is wonderful. This is a place where you can get good food at great prices. Deanie's is a little hard to find but the time is worth it.
Pros: Food
Cons: Price

This place has good seafood in huge portions, and that's it. The service was terrible and the room so loud you could hardly hear yourself think. If you're out with the guys or need to fill up the teenagers, its great. Otherwise, there are much nicer places to enjoy good Lousiana seafood.
Pros: portions
Cons: loud, service

I have to visit Deanies everytime I come to N.O. I love the Bucktown location, but it's not convenient to get to, So I'm glad that they now have a location in the quarter. The food is just as good. I'm sure they have other great items on the menu, but I have to get my fix of the fried seafood platter every time I come here. Come Hungry!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Great fried seafood

I go to the Big Easy for business monthly and always stop for the peel and eat shrimp. There is no finer place in N.O. for seafood. If you want an incredible seafood experience this is the place. Get a side of boiled potatos and butter to go with it...
Pros: Inexpensive, Great food, home like feeling
Cons: Parking, off the beaten path

On a recent trip to New Orleans my wife and I ate at the Deanie's Seafood in the Frehnch Quarter. It was WONDERFUL! It is cheaper than just about every seafood restaurants in the French Quarter and has a more family oriented atmosphere than most. And it must be said that the portions are BIG to say the least. One last suggestion...Try the Barbecue Shrimp!!!
Pros: inexpensive, HUGE portions, Barbecue Shrimp!!
Cons: no reservations

yTrue back in the day they were great but now I don't know what happened? I went there with some friends from New Orleans and we were treated very badly. The hostess took some locals before us and we had a bigger party waited longer and had more money to spend since we were alll ordering a huge seafood platter and drinks. The locals were rude to us as well but let me tell ya I was born in that City, raised in that city....I still love the food here and will come back to give it a try, tune in next time maybe they will say Tony Kollar grew up here in NOLA and now he lives in LA we want him back so lets treat him like a King of Rex or please let him stay in LA go eat somewhere else!
Pros: N/A, N/A, N/A
Cons: N/A, N/A, N/A
