Don't waste your money!

by CSMobileUser

I've been to all sorts of mexican restaurants and none of them beat the authentic taste of homemade. All those restaurants just americanize Mexican food. If I were you, I would befriend mexicans and get them to invite you to have dinner with them.

Best mexican in the city and I've tried them all!!!

by CSMobileUser2

I loved there tacos and the tamales! It's flavorfull without all of the grease. They also have lots of seating so we didn't wait long on a crowded friday night. There combo platters offer tons of food for a good price. I left full and happybwith leftovers to enjoy the next night. Can't wait to go back!!

If you like fajitas...go somewhere else.

by RMCas

I've heard good things about this restaurant and to be honest, the margaritas were excellent. I'm a fajita person and so is my father...I had shrimp, he had beef and chicken combo. The onions and peppers were not cooked at all. It was as though they had just been added. The menu says "caramelized onions" btw.

Amazing Food

by Niicolette

Food wise the food was amazing but the service was really bad. We arrived there and they clearly had seats open but the seaters at the front sat there and talked to each other, basically like we weren't even there. We sat at the table and looked off the menus and waited for our waiter. Ten minutes passed and no one addressed us. Then 15 mins passed by and we didn't even give a drink order. After 20 mins my family got frustrated and left. The girls at the front we believe didn't tell anyone they seated us so maybe thats why we never got a waiter. If they can't do their job they shouldn't be working there. We been there a couple times before and their food is the BEST mexican food I ever had. I'm just warning you about the service, if your a impatient person like my father this place is not the place for you.

  • Pros: Food
  • Cons: Service, Parking

Great Mexican Food!

by MaryFMC

I always liked Casa Garcia in fact, it's is my favorite Mexican restaurant. My favorite is the Nachos Garcia which is an appetizer that we always get as an entree. The staff is friendly the prices reasonable and service was always good. The atmosphere is casual but nice.

  • Pros: price, food
  • Cons: can be busy

Excellent Mexican Cuisine

by scondit512

Service & food are just delicious!!!!

My complaint is when attempting to order Sangria in a gallon, and eating in the dining area, they discourage you since it is not as "pretty" on the table. When more than 1/2 of our remaining drink was left over, it was placed in a Daisy Sour Cream container, and went bad (sour) the very next day, while the drinks in the large to-go cups lasted for days. The management doesn't seem to believe this... When ordered, and kept in the gallon container that it should be in, will last for days in the refrigerator.

  • Pros: Delicious
  • Cons: Can not seem to order the gallon of sangria when dining in.

Freshly-prepared traditional Mexican food, including signature bean dip, salsa, enchiladas, fajitas and burritos are served in a

family-friendly environment.

Very nice Mexican Restaurant

by irishowens

I have eaten at all of the top Mexican restaurants in the Metairie and Westbank area. And I find Casa Garcia along with Carretas (also in Metairie) to be in a virtual tie for the top two spots, whenever it comes to value, service, quality Mexican food and parking. To be fair, I did not try any Margueritas at either place. And I do prefer the more vast choices offered by Carretas on their extensive menu. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Casa Garcias a solid nine. It is a very good restaurant, and I highly recommend it.

  • Pros: Good food, nice service, plenty of parking
  • Cons: none
