User Reviews for Tommy's Wine Bar

1 Star Rating: Not Recommended

I've been into Tommy's Wine Bar many times, and have loved the place for a long time. However, my recent trips have left me wanting more from the staff. Increasingly, since around December, the staff has become less friendly and less attentive. I noticed some new people that have been recently hired, so I don't know if its a matter of training, or if its due to the new manager they recently put in place. In either case, it's a great place to relax and have a drink, but most of my friends and I won't return for a while unless the staff changes. The retaurant, Tommy's Cuisine, however, seems to have none of these problems. That place is still recommended highly.

Pros: Great wine and atmosphere

Cons: The service/managerial staff as of late

I've recently become a regular guest at Tommys wine bar. I find it the best wine bar in town. An old warehouse, it has been completly renovated and elegantly decorated. The wine list is second to none, and features both domestic and imported wines. It provides an extremely comfortable setting in a relaxed and informal abmbience, allowing me to enjoy and savor my drink while listening to live music. One of my favorite New Orleans musicians, Charles Farmer, is at the piano on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00, and I make it a point to catch his unique set of Jazz and blues most weekends,
