A great neighborhood joint on upper Esplanade serving excellent soul food with true warmth. Chicken is done especially well here either fried or stewed. Fried seafoods are also exceptional. The gumbo is as good as any to be found in NOLA. If you are looking for down to earth, off the beaten path type of place where the locals might eat, this is your place.
