I agree w/ previous poster - Doug is awesome. This was the first time I had my hair done since I moved to Nola a year ago. I had an idea for some color and he was honest with me - yes, it can be done and look good. But he'd need to see me back in about 6-8 weeks to cover up those roots - was I ready for that kind of commitment? I wasn't. So we agreed on something a little different but still accomplished what I wanted, to go overall lighter and sunnier. And I don't have to be back in 6 weeks, thanks Doug! He also have me a cut which got off all my dead ends (after a year with no trims, there were a LOT) but still kept as much length as possible while keeping with my super easy maintenance rule (wash, condition, brush, go...). All good stylist items - He listened to what I wanted, asked me about how I wore my hair and what kind of stuff I usually do with it, asked what my commitment was, determined if I was willing to do a lot with it at home (dryers, products, etc) - and then he made a recommendation based on what I told him. And the result looks great! So, in 6 months or so when I'm ready for my next trim (truly, I'm terrible about going...) I'm going back to him! The rest of the staff from what I saw seemed equally as professional and awesome, too! (And, not once was I pressured to buy any products) p.s. - there is parking behind the salon but the lot is a little small, and if someone parks along the side of the building next door it's a tight fit to get out. but there is street parking, and I heard that you may be able to use some of the spaces in the lot next door...? or across the street...?

Pros: professionalism, atmosphere, reasonable prices

Cons: parking...kinda

Doug is the absolute best hair stylist ever. Not only is he amazing at what he does, he's honest (I wish more people's stylists were!), he shows you how to get the same results at home, and the conversation is always great! I go to him for both my cut and color and couldn't imagine going to anyone else! I have recommended him to all my friends and they love him just as much as I do!

Pros: Great prices...especially for the service!

Cons: NONE

Giarina at Headset Salon is one of the best estheticians out there! She is very thorough and takes her time with a facial. And her brows are the best. She uses Dermalogica products and they work!

Pros: Thumbs up on hair and skin

Cons: sometimes you have to park on the street
