The French Quarter is indeed a wonderful place, but not everyone will enjoy all of its aspects. Everyone knows about Bourbon Street and the wild party atmosphere that runs amok any night of the week. There's also the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square, or the antique shops you can lose yourself in on Royal St. The French Market is not to be missed! Remember, Bourbon St. is only one small part of the Quarter and may not appeal to everyone.

Pros: history, good food, local color

Cons: parking, meter maids
