If you love to fish and hunt, then you'll obviously live at the nearest bass pro shop, and thats a "Gimmie"! But if you live in or near the town of Lacombe, like me, then driving 45 minutes everytime you need gear or advice, isn't always convenient. I retired from the military and moved to Lacombe 2 years ago, and stumbled in to Bayou Adventures to buy some hooks and lures, merely because I just didn't feel like riding 30 minutes out my way to go to Wally World and didn't care that day whether or not I'd have to pay alittle more . Very much to my surprise, their prices were very competitive with the bigger stores and whatever they don't have, I found out that they would gladly order whatever you need. On top of that, I found the service to be five star, and the owner and employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. The longer I live in Lacombe, the more good things I hear about the owner, who is also a Justice of the Peace and her passion for improving tourism, pollution control, and all-around quality of life in the Lacombe area. Also, the longer I live here, the more I realize that the town of Lacombe is very lucky to have Ms. Shannon and Bayou Adventure looking out for our town. If you guys would consider expanding out to more hunting supplies during the fall and winter, ie...archery equipment, duck and deer calls, deer corn...just to name a few.....I'd probably have no need to ever travel anywhere else, accept maybe to eat or something! Great little bait shop!

Great place with all the baits you need plus tips and onfo on fishing the area. Friendly service. Check 'em out!

Great place for a great adventure. Nice selection of tackle and the only place on the north shore with live bait. Kayaks, bikes, tackle, ice, drinks, bait, everything we needed to make our weekend amazing. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

I'm from Alabama, I go fishing/camping in, and around Lake Pontchartrain several times a year. Bayou Adventure is always my first stop. I find out what's biting, where,and what they are biting. John will even give you free cast net throwing lessons in the parking lot. And...if you happen to fall in love with one of those pretty cajun girls,(or boys), the Justice Of The Peace is just inside, usually near the minnow or live shrimp tank. There is no reason to go anywhere else....unless you want ice cream, they don't have ice cream.

Great place! While staying at a Fountainbleu cabin, my wife wanted to fish. When asking for bait stores, your place was recommended. 

The owner was very helpful, telling us what baits were best for the area. 

My wife is a died in the wool, nightcrawler n cork gal, but quickly learned how to fish with shrimp, and had a great time!

If you enjoy outdoor activities have I got a place for you! Bayou Adventures is unique. Read what all they have to offer. Then go and be prepared to meet Shannon (the owner) You will be met with the warmest smile, the most helpful attitude you have seen in a business in a long time. (you may even get a big hug on your next visit) I was in the store when a couple from England came in Shannon hooked them up with all their needs for a great Bayou trip. When thy came back she even went and go them lunch and set up a place out side where they could enjoy a gorgeous Lacombe day. She should have heard them rave! (by the way there turned out to be quite well known in England) What an ambassador for all of La.! It is a tough time for small business. Let's reward Bayou Adventure with our dollars and good word of mouth advertising! It's the American way!

This place is amazing! Such a great find! My husband and I wanted to rent some bikes to ride the Tammant Trace trails and stumbled upon Bayou Adventure for our renting needs! The service was super friendly and helpful - set us up with bikes, helmets, directions, nifty tips, things to stop and look at, and even water bottles to start us off. Everyone was very accommodatin, and the bikes were just perfect. We had such a beautiful afternoon thanks to Bayou Adventurr and will most definitely be back!

Shannon is awesome! She is very knowledgeable goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I'd rent a kayak from Bayou Adventure in a heartbeat the next time I'm visiting Louisiana!
