My girlfriend and I have both spent significant time in Thailand and this is the best we have found when we have a craving for Thai food - La Thai isn't as good/authentic. I've tried at least 15 things on the menu and I've never been disappointed with my food. Great flavors, good level of heat, and the staff whenever I dine in is always fantastic. You will be doing yourself a disservice by eating elsewhere if you are looking for great Thai food.
As if you really need more of a reason to go check out Suko Thai's new dish, Sukho Thai Sukiyaki, besides all the words I typed in my previous review. Because you honestly don't. But just in case you do...
I raved about this dish, I want to say that I've had it about 5 times. It clears the sinuses, it has every kind of texture, and the creamy broth is to die for. It's a stew of sorts, with glass noodles, meat & spice level of your choice. Many people complain that it's too spicy, order it mild and build up the kick to suit your comfort level. Trust me, it's worth it.
Because I wrote such a passionate review, the owner contacted me, asked me for my mailing address, & sent me a gift certificate for loving them so much! GO give it a shot, if you love it, let them know! Chances are, you'll also get your next meal there for free...
Thanks again, Mr Scarmuzza. Keep up the good business, you're kind of a soup god now, in my book.
Loved the vegetarian options. They make their veggie menu without fish sauce so that was a big bonus for me. Great sized portions. Tried the Garlic Tofu and the Yellow Curry. VERY appetizing. The by glass wine section is very limited and you won't get the condiment sauces with your meal unless you ask for them. Also the wait staff was a bit slow, but the food MORE than made up for it. Brandon the manager also stopped by and was a very nice guy and made the dinner even nicer by stopping by the table to ask how dinner was. Will be on my list of top thai places in New Orleans Area.
The Pacific Homeworks crew is the best! The new male server was wonderful. Best service I have had in a while there.
Love this place. Their staff is super friendly and their food is delicious. A friend had a birthday celebration here and we sat in the back chef's counter. We at a 6 course meal, each course paired with wine. The chef was wonderful and the owner and staff were so on top of things. I'll definitely be back!
The Drunken Noodles are great along with the Pai Thai
I love how you can order the degree of heat you want.
Lunch is a real bargain . Atmosphere & service great.
The decor is trying to lean away from typical Asian restaurant, and more towards a modern feel with the metallics and such but keeping Asian tones such as the upside down Hawaiian drink umbrella lamps. Food was pretty decent. First things that came out were these spring rolls with cabbage which would have been quite plain if it werent for this awesome spicy peanut sauce. We also got to try the Sukho thai sampler with Ahi Katsu roll, Veggie Rolls, and a pair of Shrimp-in-a-Pouch. I felt like they could have given more flavor to the Ahi Katsu roll, but the veggie rolls and shrimp in a pouch were amazing and crispy!
