Another Great Job. I was driving my wife's 2004 Suburban in Slidell yesterday when I noticed that when I hit the brakes the car pulled left. I stopped in AAMCO Slidell (I usually go the AAMCO on Hickory Ave) to have my car checked out. Erin, the girl behind the desk explained that I needed front brake pad. I then gave them permission to fix my wife's truck. The truck was fixed with an hour and I was on the way home. Thanks again AAMCO for the great work.
I love these guys. I have a 1999 Taurus that my sister gave me. The car only has 66,000 miles on it. Well I was on the way to a gig (job) in New Orleans where I broke down on I-10. The car just stopped moving, it would not go forward or backwards. I called my sister who recommended Paul at AAMCO. Her and her husband had a car that they had fixed there and were really happy.I called the shop and they had a tow truck pick me up. Within an hour I was at the AAMCO shop. They told me that they thought my torke converter was broke and they could have me fixed and on the road by the next day. As promised, I had my car fixed below there estimate ($1150) and on time. I love these guys
Jaguar Overheating!. Great people! My 2001 Jag was not shifting so I brought it into Aamco thinking I needed a transmission. Paul, the owner, had his guys take a look at my car and found out that my car ran hot and computer made the car not shift. They also explained that I needed a water pump and that should fix the problem. They changed the water pump so my car runs nice and cool, Also, once they reset the car's computer, my car started to shifted correctly. I am so glad I went to AAMCO rather than the Jaguar dealership in Metairie. My car was fixed quickly and for a fair price. The best part is I did not need a transmission. Just like the prior post, Great TRUSTFUL people. I highly recommend theses guys.
Great Guys in Slidell Louisiana. My check engine light was on when I was in Slidell last week in my 2000 Dodge 3500. I had a great experience with the AAMCO in Metairie so I dedcided to stop in and see what the check engine light was on for. Paul, the owner, sent his guys out to go and check my truck out. They found that I had a wire unpluged under the hood. They hooked the wire back on, no charge, and I was on my way. Wow, greats guys in Slidell too! Make sure you ask for the owner Paul. He is a fun guy to talk too.
Run, don't walk!!!. I wish that I could rate them a 0! If you don't want to be forced to repay and have the work redone by someone who actually knows what they are doing; find another repair shop! This place is a nightmare, and the people in corporate are just as idiotic as the QUACKS "repairing" vehicles for the poor, good, unsuspecting customers in Slidell/Picayune!
Angels can come in mechanic cloths. This is the second AAMCO I have been too. The first AAMCO I had a bad experience but these guys were great. I had a warranty from the first AAMCO but I refused to go back to those people. The seem like the price and whatr was needed to repair my car was always changing which gave me concerns. The AAMCO in Slidell looked at my car immediately then repaired it within an hour. The best part was, this all happened on a Saturday afternoon after the shop closed. The guy I delt with name was Bill. I guess angels can come in mechanic cloths.
Editorial Review. National auto service chain provides expert transmission repair for all vehicles; emergency towing assistance, warranty and financing services also available.
