This is the 2nd time this issue has
happened with Honda of Slidell. Had to come and write a review this time.
Took my wife's car in for a few small repairs. Very minimal cosmetic type things like the brake light rattling in the rear dash, the little gear shift plastic plate was broken, rug on right side door coming loose, etc. There was also squealing coming from the rear brakes, so was just looking for a quote to get them replaced.
For the 2nd time ever of taking the car there, they ran this huge diagnostic (without us asking for this service) that costs just over $100.
In addition, the quotes for the repairs I had listed totalled $1,700.00. The rear brakes alone were $250.00. And that small piece of plastic for the gear shift? $50.00. The rattling light fix was $55.00.
Needless to say, I most unhappily paid the $100 for un-asked-for diagnostic, took the car to Pep Boys and got the brakes done for $129.00.
The only reason I gave even a single Star for the Customer Service rating was because the girl was actually very nice and professional and I'm pretty sure she was doing her job the best she could. But she does have to go by the policies of the dealership, which in my opinion in this particular case, are horrid.
HONDA OF SLIDELL DESERVES 5 STARS!!!!. I LOVE MY NEW VAN!!!! HONDA OF SLIDELL is the best experience I have EVER had with a dealership!! Our salesman (Dwayne) was top notch!! He was very knowledgable about the vehicle and answered all of our questions. I have been telling everyone about my experience at Honda of Slidell and even passing out business cards! That's the impression they made on me!!!! We will DEFINITELY be a return customer!!! THANK YOU HONDA OF SLIDELL!!!!!

Bought a new 2011 Accord from these guys. The staff was very nice, professional, and easy to deal with. It was a no pressure atmosphere for sure, not at all like any of my past car-buying experiences.

AAmazing service. I have not ever walked away from a car purchase enthusiastic about the experience I had. I have purchased cars in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and South Carolina, but I had not ever reflected on a purchase with enthusiasm until I bought a car from Honda of Slidell. Satisfied Customer!. We are very pleased with how helpful and quick Honda of Slidell got us our 2011 Odyssey!! Communication either by email or phone was outstanding since we live in Mississippi and wasn't able to stop by! We were a little nervous because of another dealer in the area badmouthing them and saying they wouldn't get us the van at the price we wanted to pay for months! Well, even with the new Odyssey in such HIGH demand, we got ours in 3 weeks!! AWESOME! =)

Bought a used van from them 4 months ago. The price wasn't bad, and I know used vehicles will have some problems, but
They did a 30+ point checklist, and showed no leaks, and no problems etc. Well, the day after I purchased the van,, I noticed an oil leak, they decided to fix the oil pan leak, well the leak is still there, and now they are saying it's a leak by the timing chain cover, and will cost $1400 to fix.
I had to replace the coils which cost $800
I had to replace all the tires (which I could tell this) which cost $800
I had to replace the rear brakes, and now the front brakes which will cost $400
The dealer is saying the belts need replacing, which I haven't got a second opinion on yet.
Needless to say, over $3k in repairs within 5 months is crazy. Also, it looks like I have a coolant leak. I think their service dept pencil whips their checklist to make it look like they inspected the vehicle.
How can they check off there were no leaks when there was one?
How can the check off the brakes were ok, when I had to replace the rear ones immediately?
Needless to say, I would not recommend buying a used vehicle from this dealer.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. I shopped around for a new Honda and found that Honda of Slidell had the best prices and the best people to work with. I got the vehicle I wanted at a great price. If you are looking for a new Honda, check out Honda of Slidell. I live in Mississippi and don't mind going to them for anything I need. I have also had my vehicle in for service and the service department is a breath of fresh air to work with. I recommend you check out Honda of Slidell before you settle on another dealership.
I Will Be Back!. I sent an inquiry online and it was quickly contacted by the Internet Department at Honda of Slidell. I was actually quite shocked by their fast response. I hate buying cars but, they made it PAINLESS! I recieved a quote, set an appointment to drive the car (which they already had pulled up and running for me), got inside to find that a lot of the paperwork was filled out as well. These guys are great. Everyone was friendly and courteous, I actually enjoyed the purchase and like I said, I hate buying cars. I will HIGHLY recommend them to everyone I know.
Bad way to do buisness. I had a bad experience with Honda of Slidell on 10-31-09. I email for a price on a specific 09 Accord when I got there that price was not honored because it had leather add in. I gave a stock number and a vin number for an internet price quote . The internet man gave me a price on another 09 Accord that was cheaper just to get me in there. I was coming a long way from the westbank of the New Orleans area to be missed lead. I will never do business with Honda of Slidell again.
