Not Upfront About Prices-Ripped Off. I recently tried out Salon Couvie for the first time. While there, I asked the stylist how much an all-over color would cost. She said $55. End of story.

Several days later, I returned to have the color done by the same stylist. After she was done, I went to pay at the register. I was told the total was $78! I asked what about the $55 I was quoted. I was told the extra $23 was for the stylist to blow-dry my hair. For real?

No one mentioned a word to me about this blow-dry fee beforehand. I checked out their website, and it doesn't mention this fee either in their coloring menu prices.

I tried to voice my complaint to the manager, via email. She was more concerned about the bottom line than building a happy, repeat clientele for this fairly new salon. I would have possibly become a long-term client, had I not been misled and dismissed as though my complaint was unwarranted. That's not happening now though.

BEWARE if you schedule an appointment with Salon Couvie. There is a good chance they will do the same to you as they did to me. And good luck with getting any empathy for the situation from the manager.
