WHY CAN'T HAIR DRESSERS LISTEN TO THE CLIENT?. SERIOUSLY!! I went in for the easiest haircut EVER!! All i needed was a trim and I dont have any layers. Everything was fine until we got to my bangs and I said "just dust and texturize them I dont want them any shorter" well now my bang are straight up BUTCHERED! I had this great tapper on each side leading into the longer bangs and the girl chopped off one side and left the other not to mention they are so short that now I have to wear a hat for a week till they grow back out!

WORST $50.00 I EVER SPENT!

Love this place. Savannah is awesome...but the best part is her stylists are trained by her and she has very high standards. I am a believer! Do not believe ruthless2012 (as if her name doesn't give it away).

Really Disappointing. I expressed to Savannah, in as direct language as possible, NO RAZOR. I hate when stylists razor my hair. My hair is fine and I prefer a chunky, textured look that razoring can't achieve.

She was talking with another customer almost the whole time, and then took the scissors and started razoring my hair. I asked for some long layers put in to add shape. What I got was the Rachel with bangs. My hair is past my shoulders and one of the layers she put in comes right to my ear. It looks horrible.

I was especially disappointed because she didn't seem to listen to what I wanted. In fact she did the one thing I asked her not to do. And instead of feeling like I was paying around 50 bucks for an appointment with a stylist, I felt like I was at someone else's appointment. She took several calls, cut someone's bangs, and chatted with other customers for most of my appointment.

I won't be back.

It's funny that the place is called Rocket Science. Cuz after I left all I could think was, I said don't razor my hair. It's not rocket science. Then I remebered, apparently it is.

The Best Salon ever!. First time visiting the city, came in from Cleveland found Rocket Science online, read all the great review, I made my appointment online on a Thursday and Savannah seen me that follow Sunday. I was so surprised that a salon was even open on a Sunday. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Great Color and Great Cut!!! the customer service was wonderful. Walked out looking like a million bucks. Had highlites & a color, and a great cut. The prices was good.

Best Salon in New Orleans!. If I could add five more stars, I would! Rocket Science has the atmosphere, the education, great vibe, and excellent customer service as being the best salon in New Orleans. I just moved here from San Francisco for the film industry, and have always been fortunate enough to have only the best stylists. I also need to add, my best friend has been a salon owner and educator for one of the top salons in the San Francisco Bay Area. So for a number of years I have also been a model helping out my friend teach her classes. While sitting there over and over again, I have learned a lot about hair, texture, color, wave, face shape, and how to hold the shears properly. Needless to say, my standards were set very high when I came out here, and had to find the perfect place. I used to have blonde hair down to the middle of my back, but finally cut it all off and went back to my natural color, dark. I had gone to three other salons and I always came out either looking like a man, or Florence Henderson, not good! I was drawn to Rocket Science because of the great reviews and cool name. I went to Dara and she nailed my haircut and color! She wasn't afraid to cut into my hair to create the mis-managed effect I had been looking for, perfect!!! I even wanted it shorter a few days later, and she had no problem with my request. Dara has by far surpassed any expectations I had as a stylists and her training and experience shows in her work. The trust was build up enough for me to have her do my eyebrows too, perfect once again. I can honestly say, the girls at Rocket Science are excellent at their craft! And the conversations between the stylists is pretty funny too, great atmosphere.

Amazing. Savannah knows her sh#t. I moved from LA this summer and never had a better hair cut and color until I found Savannah. She knows what she's doing. My regrowth from blond highlights is amazing. No more ugly hairline. And her cuts are the absolute best! Savannah is a gem!

best hair ever. I have been Savannah's client for 8 years, and I have had exceptional hair EVERY time I've walked out of her salon. After several bad stylists in the past, I was afraid to try anything new with my hair, until I met Savannah. After baby stepping into the world of hair styling, I have built up such a terrific relationship with Savannah that I just sit in her chair and give her full license to do whatever she wants. I love my hair every time. It's hip and unique and makes me feel like a million bucks! Complete strangers stop me on the street to ask where I get my hair done. If you want a great cut, or flawless color, or just to feel like a total rock star, I highly suggest getting your hair done here...

SO BAD. I went in for highlights, but ended up with a bleach blond head, not even white blond, but slightly orange. I was horrified but couldn't manage to say anything about it. I called back a few days later, and the woman (Savannah?) that answered the phone was very hostile to me and treated me like I was trying to get something for free. I just wanted to tell them that I was unhappy and wanted to come back in for some color to be added. ( I was ready to pay for the next visit, but she didn't let me get that out.) Even if my hair was over lightened, it should not have been orange.

I am definitely never going back, due to rude and poor quality service. ( The girl who did my hair, Dara, was very sweet, but I don't think understood what I wanted, which may have been my fault. )

But, it is expected in costumer service, that when you are not happy with a service, you call back immediately and things can be fixed, not wait a three weeks then complain. Instead, the woman was very rude and almost accusatory.

So now I am paying a new salon again to fix my hair, then dye it again, which is a big hassle. Wish I would have found another place, a little more professional.

Savannah Blue is a bad ass. I was immediately amazed at how intelligent this woman was. She takes it to the next level,but not in an intense way- like in a soothing BFF way. But she's exciting too. And then all the sudden you have the best hair. And you're having a great day and she's making you laugh all the way down the stairs and out the door. And then you realized what just happened- a truly talented person just did your hair and this is the way it should be. Cheers to you Ms. Blue.
