Two words: LEGAL RANSOM. Not only did the owner mislead us when we booked them, but the he also threatened us over the phone, several times that day, kept increasing the price, screaming at us, demanded obscene amounts of cash, and told me he was having me arrested. He was so horrible that I actually fainted, hyperventilated and ended up getting rushed to the ER, because I was pregnant. He knew I was pregnant too. He ordered his drivers to take our stuff to his warehouse, and they admitted to us that they do this all the time, to couples. So if you had a great experience with him, either he thought you didn't have money, or you're single. Don't ever book with this company. The 2 initial movers he sent were instructed to take their time. It took them almost 8 hours to load our 2 bedroom apartment into their truck. The only reason we got our stuff back the next morning, mostly unharmed, was probably because the owner found out I fainted because he was screaming threats at me, and had a stress/panic attack.

Worst possible experience. The movers themselves were very nice and capable and worked hard but the organization of the company and the way the company does business is appauling. They showed up 4.5 hours late for my move, never calling to keep me posted on the delays. Very rude service too. These people will abuse the fact that you are dependent on them on the day of your move.

Spent over $600.00 for two moves and cannot get refunded $55.00 for a microwave they dropped and broke. They are great at setting up your appointment but you are out of luck if something goes wrong!

ALL GOOD REVIEWS MUST BE FAKE. I just have one thing to say: WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I could go on for hours about this company but will summarize – they broke several of my items, took their sweet time (cigarette breaks, etc) overcharged us, left blankets behind on our old place, and to top it all off THEY DROPPED A METAL RAMP ON MY FOOT.

When I called the office the alleged manager, Amanda, LAUGHED at my complaints!!! She did NOTHING to help and was very condescending and disrespectful. I am not very hopeful to get reimbursed for the items they broke. WE HAD OVER 1,000 worth of damage – at least!

If you don’t believe me, research this company on BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU – they are a serious agency that regulates businesses and services. They have OVER 22 COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM!

This company is not worth the few bucks you can save. Trust me, DO NOT USE THEM OR YOU WILL BE FRUSTRATED, ANGRY, AND WILL HAVE LOTS OF BROKEN ITEMS.

I find it rather odd that this company has the worst reviews EVER and the good reviews give them 5 stars...People should at least have something bad to say to play it off when writing fake reviews - THEY ARE FAR FROM 5 STARS. In fact, I only gave them 1 because the system made me do it otherwise I would have given them -5

Mr. Move did a great job. For those that would like to hear from a real customer. I just moved my from a large 3 bedroom house on the second floor, to their storage facility and I could not be happier. Chad came over, and gave me a quote and we decided to hire 3 workers for packing and moving. The 3rd person is approx 1/2 price and well worth it. I was not charged anything extra!! No stair fee, no shuttle truck fee, no extra packing fee, no time wasted with worker doing tedious inventory instead of moving and packing, and it actually turned out to be less than the quote. They have their own employees and truck drivers, meaning no sub contractors. The contents in the truck were mine only. Although I didn't need it, they offered to take my donations and to dispose of things I did not want. We also had someone buying a lot of our furniture and they used Mr. Move, who schedule the crews accordingly. They are all in one stop. They were on time each day, worked fast and efficient, and adjusted to my last minute changes. After last years' bad experience moving here with another company I was really nervous so I made sure to get a local company that has experience with new orleans houses, stairs and streets. I made the right move hiring Mr. Move. What a relief.

WORST MOVERS EVER. Do not use. They over charged us when they began packing and Amanda stated they would reimburse us on the packing the next day. The next day came and the movers stated we were "under-estimated" the amount of time and moving vans. They would need 2 and not 1. So there was an extra charge. They did not move anything from my attic after confirming they had moved everything. So we had to borrow a friends trailer and get everything done the day of our closing. They stored our furniture for 8 days and told us that there would be no outstanding balance when the furniture was delivered. WRONG AGAIN. The movers showed up and demanded an additional 1800.00 in CASH or they would bring our stuff back to New Orleans never to be seen again. A move from Jefferson Parish to Livingston with 8 days of "storage" (they had to get a Budget moving truck that I could have done myself) cost me over $5000.00 - do yourself a favor and get a POD

Worst Movers and service. I was refered to Mr. Moves by a women whom they had already moved and she said they did a great job and they were cheaper than the movers in my area. First they were suppose to show up at 9 they didn't get there until 9:45 and had to call me for directions and blamed me for them being late. GPS...enough said. I was told they didn't start charging until the first box was moved out of storage. He called them at 9:45 and wrote that on the paper but then went outside and didn't actually go back up until 10:20. There was only 2 guys to empty out 2 10x10 storage units. It took me and my dad about an hour to fill up one with furnture. It took the 2 guys 3 hours to empty it. They never used blankets, one guy was at the top in the unit and the other guy was in the truck. So that meant one guy moved some heavy big pieces of furniture all by himself. When 3 hours hit I called the lady Amanda and asked her hour long should it take. She said it just depends but she would tell them to speed it up. Well that only made them mad and when I went up to the storage unti they had some om my things in the hallway and was steaping on them and knocking things over. I told them to stop and what ever they had on the truck to deliver it to my house. When we arrived at my house the drive called his "supervisor" and they told me I need to pay before they would take anything out the truck. The driver told the supervisor that it would take and hour and the suprevisor told him to put an hour and forty-five minutes on the paper. I called good old Amanda and she said when ever they are finished they woudl give me back the money for the time they didn't use. So dumb me gave them the money to get my stuff. The 2 guys put their head phones on and moved all shoved all my furniture in my living room. Then when they were finished they closed up the truck and didn't even let me know they were done. I went bang on the truck as he was leaving and told him to hold on because I needed my refund because it was only 2:15. He didn't wait and took off and took half my neighbors tree with him. I called and Amanda said she told me wrong that they would mail me the refund and the claim form. Well it has been 2 weeks and still nothing. I'm calling better business bureau on them and thinking of contacting a lawyer. They messed my furniture up and put holes in my mattresss. Thank god my storage unit has camera because I was able to see all the standing around they did and all the pushing of my furniture down the hallways and I also took pics of everything. SO DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE!

New Orleans worst movers. I would love to meet those people that rated this company highly, that is, if they are not Martians or relatives of the owners. Having collected 10% fee in form in form of a cashier

Do yourself a huge favor & keep away from Mr. Move. This company rips people off every chance they get. The only good reviews are from friends of the company & were all posted the same day. I can't believe they are not out of business yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time but stay away from Mr Move aka Budget movers. I don't know how these people sleep at night.

What goes around comes around & I'm sure there time will come. Make sure you ask for proof of insurance before ever using a moving co. and get everythig in writing.

Great Service!. The guys who handled my job did so perfectly. They were on-time and polite throughout the process. I have to admit, I was skeptical about hiring movers - i'd always moved myself with a U-haul. But after using Mr Move's guys, I'll never move my own furniture again. They were very careful not to damage my furniture, and they took the extra time to wrap my fragile glass items and expensive television equipment. I couldn't have been happier with the guys. I'll be sure to recommend them to anyone I know who needs movers.
