Avoid this Company. I'm in Long Beach Ca and I found this company as Sunshine Movers (found later it is Orange County Movers, the charge to my credit card is from this company), called, talked to a nice guy and set up the move. The two movers showed up on time and started to load. They moved fairly slow and by the time we got to the new location, moved even slower having to move up the stairs. They used NO padding on my furniture and only wrapped up two items. They damaged my bookcase because they didn't measure if it would make it in the stairwell. They damaged my wall, my floor in several places, and several pieces of my furniture. They left dirt all over my mattress, a long with four dirty hand prints. One of the guys started bad mouthing my items while finishing the move, then when I was brought the bill, I pointed out the damages they caused. At this point he started yelling at me. The people in the surrounding businesses had to come out and ask this muscled up guy to stop yelling at me, a 5'2" 120 pound female. He yelled more. What does 7 hours of slow labor, damaged furniture, and getting yelled at cost? $788.00. The neighbors complained to his boss, I complained, they said they would take money off the bill. When asked about the damages, I was told he would take it to the Owner and get back with me the next day. He has not gotten back with me, and there was no credit to my bill made.

Don't hire these guys!!!. I hired this company in Sept. 2009. They showed up four hours late and were hungover. They broke several things, including my great-grandmother's antique china cabinet. They only filled their truck halfway, presumably to ensure higher charges due to multiple trips. Toward the end of a very grueling and miserable day, they told me their credit card machine was broken and that I'd have to pay in cash! Then they attempted to tack on an additional 19% "moving tariff"! Yeah, right! I paid the additional $75 "stair fee" and the $180 "fuel surcharge" just to get these crooks off my property. Despite several attempts to contact the company to complain, nobody ever returned my calls. Learn from my mistakes and find a company with some integrity. These guys have NONE. Buyer beware!

Damaged Property. Company damaged flooring in home while moving and has not been responsive in repairing damage to very expensive flooring. Company has been contacted numerous times. Will shortly become a legal issue. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Stolen goods. Company representative was extreemly nice over the phone so we were expecting professional movers. When moving day came the mover were 3 hours late. They finally showed, worked hard through out the day. After unpacking we noticed we had multiple itmes stolen from us. I would stay far away from this unprofessional company who employs theives.

Expect Unexpected Charges. We were charged an unexpected "fuel surcharge" of $220 but were never informed about that fee. (The move was 10 miles total). Plus, we were charged for an extra hour. When we reserved the move, we were told only that an extra hour would be charged for any portion of an hour worked. The three men worked exactly 7 hours, yet we were charged for 8. Tired and caught off guard, we paid the fee. Later, when we realized that we had been overcharged, we tried for weeks to make contact. Finally, we were told that the owner would "take care of it." That was over a month ago. Yeah, I believe that!

Research moving companies BEFORE hiring this one!. This company has many complaints, both online and through the Better Bus Bureau. They do a decent job moving, but charge you way over their estimate and then refuse to deal with you or return phone calls. The owner keeps saying that he put a refund check in the mail (several times) but I have yet to receive anything. I have damaged items and they refuse to send me a claim form (I do not believe they are even insured). Before you think about hiring this company see their record online and with the Better Bus Bureau, and run fast to a legitimate company. You'll be happy that you did.
