They are back. They have had to move locations but they are back in business. Same owners, same food (plus some new things). I am flying down this weekend to check it out!

Missing Vera's. Vera's was the Greatest, I have some memorabilia from the restaurant, Used to live down the street, Two mirrors that hung behind the bar for many , many years. Had the owner/operator sign them in 1999. Can't remember the family's name or I would contact them, Any help out there?? Looked at sat pictures to see if the restaurant made it through the big Blow.......Used to eat there a LOT was the BEST. Any info please e-mail-torasperry@Yahoocom

Vera's A Part Of History. Vera's has always been my favorite restaurant on the north shore and near the top in the whole New Orleans area. After Katrina, there is no evidence that it ever even existed. This great restaurant will forever live in our memories.

rat's nest best in slidell. the best seafood in the new orleans area.....great soft shell crab
