Editorial Review for Louisiana Children's Museum – by Jill Gottesman
Overview
New Orleans is not the most child-oriented city, but this exceptional attraction was designed with kids specifically in mind. Situated far from the debauchery of Bourbon Street, the mid-19th century sugar warehouse the museum calls home is historically significant, but that's not why you visit.
The Experience
Dozens of interactive and high-tech hands-on exhibits, particularly favored by kids up to 12 years old. Little ones can choose from a fully stocked grocery store and a great replica of a television news studio. For low-tech traditionalists, there are arts and craft workshops, puppet shows, scavenger hunts and lots of dinosaurs. Parents are not only encouraged to join their children here--those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. A snack bar and cool museum store will keep you busy if you find yourself in the highly unlikely position of being bored.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasThe LCM is not ideal only for a kid's birthday party; the facility also hosts after-hours gatherings for personal or commercial purposes, from 50 to 1,000 guests.

Lots of things to do and see for kids and adult; educational as well as play time.
