Choose Wisely. Although my mother was happy I sent her flowers on her birthday, I was disappointed when I saw them at her house the follwing day. For the money that I paid for the centerpiece, I would have thought it would have lasted more than a day and a half.

Wonderful Floral Design and Superlative Service!. We asked Harkins the Florist in New Orleans to provide the centerpieces for the brunch for 36 people at Commander's Palace the day after our son's wedding. Despite my having a nebulous idea of how I wanted them to look and despite having to work long distance as we live in Seattle, Harkins took over, designing, executing and delivering them to the Brunch.

The centerpieces were BEAUTIFUL--even better then the mental picture I had carried in my mind's eye! We thank Harkins SO much. (They also handled the flowers for the wedding celebrations--white hydrangas in Mason jars for the BBQ, white roses in silver mint julep cups on the tables at the reception, and elegant and very delicate bouquets for the wedding party (primarily white roses with blush ones for color, and abundant, varied and interesting "wildflowers", which added incredible depth--STUNNING!!).

We will gladly use the talented people at Harkins the Florist for any floral needs we have in the New Orleans area in the future. Kudos to Harkins the Florist!!

Buyer Beware!. I used this florist for several years until I noticed I was being cheated. I was recieving the same product but the price was not the same. I never made a fuss about the change or even noticed it much at all until my wife recieved very poor quality flowers. They had browned and were bruised when they were delivered. When I confronted the owner (John) about my disappointment in the quality and inflated prices he was very rude and of no help. He said and did nothing to apologize for mistreating a loyal customer.

I will never use Harkins again and advise everyone I know to steer clear of this fraud who will take your money and give you flowers worthy of the trash can!

BesT Florist In Town. This is my favorite florist!!

I now live in Conyers, GA. But when ever i am visiting home for that special occasion;you can bet my florist of choice is Harkins on Magazine!!!!!!

It's just Simply the BEST IN TOWN!!

Harkins the Florist is the Best Florist in the South!. John Harkins is by far the best florist around. His arrangements are consistently fresh and great looking. I particularly like the way he uses local varieties of plants and flowers in his arrangements to give them each a unique Southern Louisiana look. It is always a pleasure to see his work, now matter what the season. His arrangements have all been memorable works of art in my opinion and they always make me feel good, no matter what the occasion. I look forward to many more of John's creations.

Great place for the best flowers. I like being able to order by phone and have the person on the other end looking at the same picture that I am, on the web site. It makes it very easy.

They will deliver when a lot of others have cut off for the day.

Lots of times they will have unusual flowers in there. They don't mind you watching them make the arrangements if you go into the shop to pick up. The shop is very small though, but that's okay, it's a great old building.
