Awesome!! – I love their pizza; i consider myself a pizza connoisseur and I think they're definitely terrific at it. I've read other reviewers saying it is as good as Domino's but I beg to differ. Domino's is a good "all-purpose" pizza but the dough and the sauce Pompeii uses are just amazing; the amount of cheese they put on normally could easily be categorized as extra cheese in any other place and they don't charge extra. The wings are also very very good ; I like their Buffalo sauce with Ranch dressing and also the tater tots with cheese sauce on the side. The burgers are very good and humongous. That goes for all their portions; they are very generous. Delivery service is very good also. Problem is that as I write this I haven't been able to quench my jones for their pizzas; phone says it's temporarily out of service so I don't know if they closed up shop. I sincerely hope not.
Worst manager in the world – Manager was totally rude ! Last Wed I rented a car to be able to come pickup 4 philly's as the menu states that your open monday - friday 4pm -11pm Today when i picked up my order I told the girl that ya'll should update your menu because I rented a car last wed to pick up food from ya'll because the menu said your open . She was like " not my problem " That threw me totally off. I was not asking for a discount or anything I told her you could say sorry we are updating our menu. Even then she still did not say sorry she just said OH WELL. So I asked who the owner was and if I could have a number to reach him . She said no that she isnt giving out the owners number. I honestly can't believe her lack of custumer service. SHE NEVER EVEN SAID SORRY and I am extreamly easy to work with , I am not use to managers being Rude and Uncaring . All she had to do was say Sorry we are in the process of up dating our menu. Not " its not my problem" when your the manager it is your problem when a custumer has a problem . In all my years working with people in the food business I was amazed . All she had to say was ohh man I'm sorry about that we are in the process of updating our menu. When I told her that she still did not even say SORRY
I order for large film crews and Will not be spending the 500$ budget here ever again
one of new orleans best – warehouse pizza was recommended to us by our friend who works at the nearby WW2 museum. other reviews say that it is pricey (?) but as of jan 2009, it was 11.50 for a large one-topping. thats not outrageous in my book.
my wife and i enjoy the pizza very much, its new york style and new orleans quality.
the sauce is great. you can get regular or spicey. the owner is somewhat eccentric but in my experience not to the degree others on citysearch say. hes not like the soup nazi from seinfeld or anything.
we have only ever ordered pizza, and nothing else (he also has salads and stuff) but we always eat in (there are a few tables to eat at) and have a few beers (he also has a cooler of drinks-soda, beer, water, etc.).
Good Pizza – The pizza really isn't half bad. The owner on the other hand is rude and seems mad at the world so i wont buy from there just cause he has a bad attitude.
Pizza worth your time and money spent! – The pizza is better than any that I have eaten in the New Orleans are. I enjoy sitting in the building, because it's plain and simple. The price per pizza is high, but you will get your money's worth and that's what counts for me.
Just an average, descent pizza. – Coming from a self proclaimed pizza fanatic, Warehouse District Pizza serves a decent pizza. My experience began with a small cheese pizza with spicy sauce for pick-up. Parking is horrible and no delivery. Interior was just average. I don't know why people whine about neighborhood food joints in New Orleans being "dirty", "filthy", "run-down"; WAKE UP, it's called character. That's why this city is famous.
I walked in, gave my name, got my pizza and walked out. Ther wasn't much interaction with the pizza guy but it was a simple and smooth transaction for me. I got home and opened the carton to a very good looking pizza. Smelled awsome. First couple of bites were pretty good. Spicyness was just right(maybe a little too much for people who don't like spicy stuff). As I got to the crust though the pizza became a little bland. I realized that the dough was missing a little something. I'm a crust guy so this was a little disappointing. I guess a remedy for that would be to ask for some sauce on the side to dip. Like I said before, the pizza was descent. Nothing too special and it wasn't awful, just descent. If you're in the area stop by but I wouldn't go out of your way. It's worth at least one try for varieties sake.
Not the (UNDER $20) claims and not so good !! – I read on this site how good this place was, it must have been the owner giving the "good" review. The truth is that when I went to the Warehouse District Pizza on Magazine, I was treateed VERY rudely by the "owner"., the inside of the restaurant was filthy and the price for the 14" pizza was ridiculous . The only reason I brought the pizza home was because my wife asked me to give a local small business a chance . TO BAD.! I sure hope that people do not think this is what NOLA represents.
Crazy prices with very rude owner and good pizza – The menu at Warehouse District Pizza starts at a steep price for JUST a 14? cheese pizza. If you want any toppings? might as well go for a nice dinner. The owner was VERY rude and less then interested in helping his customers. The beer was flat and way past the expiration date marked on the bottle. The pizza is a VERY home-style thin crust with a choice of regular or spicy sauce. If the PRICE and OWNER could mellow out, I would have given a 4 star.
Wonderful pizza!!! – This pizza is the best in NOLA! My husband and I thankfully live in the area so we'll never touch Domino's or Papa John's ever again! You -have- to try this place! If you live in the Warehouse District, shame on you for eating chain pizza when this wonderful pie is so readily available!
not worth the 10-minute drive – not sure what is up w/ past awards, but... for a commerical product, this pizza is pretty bad. we benchmark every pizza shop w/ a large cheese pizza. this "14-inch" pizza looked small & shriveled, so i measured it -- not 14". the spicy sauce was ok (we did half-and-half). but the rest of it was so uniformly..blah. its like it didnt know what it wanted to be: not a east-coast pie, not a deep dish, not a gourmet. so whats left?
the ceasar salad had italian dressing on it; not a ceasar salad does this make.
we ate the pizza -- but its a sad pizza day when you have to put in a frozen as a backup. total disappointment.
