Best neighborhood bar in New Orleans. We just moved out of the Irish Channel and the one thing we will miss most is Parasol's. Whenever we were hungry and didn't feel like cooking, we'd just walk down and get some po'boys. The best shrimp and roast beef. Great place to watch Saints games. We'll miss it. Our new neighborhood bar is Pal's Lounge. I hope it's as welcoming.

Best local dive-bar in New Orleans that is still open after K.. This is the place where I met all of my friends in NOLA, where I watched the RedSox win the series, where I consumed the BEST roast beef po boys night after night, where I drank guinness, where I had fun. After moving away from New Orleans, the one thing that I miss with all my heart is the greatness of P'Sols. If you live in New Orleans and have not yet been, you don't know what you are missing. If you plan on visiting new orleans as a tourist, do yourself a favor and get out of the quarter and get to the Irish Channel for a real bar.

Oh yeah, this place is small, not so clean, but oh so fun....

Famed Irish Channel bar whoops it up on St. Paddy's Day and beyond.. In Short
Dingy, dicey and a little bit dirty: This Irish Channel barroom is the classic neighborhood dive. During its infamous St. Patrick's Day celebrations, this bar floats in a flood tide of emerald beer as the starting point of New Orleans' boozy St. Paddy's parade--Mardi Gras with a coat of green Krylon. Its renowned roast beef po'boys aer greasy and garlicky; the rest of the bar food menu provides welcome ballast during televised Saints games.

getting it done. I just moved in a few doors down and was happy to find such a lively, friendly place so close. The bartender was quite welcoming and the drinks were the real New Orleans composition. My catfish po-boy was great, so was my wifes turkey. Overall this place is worth the while for sure. The jukebox has all the essentials and the decor is what you'd expect....erin go braugh! Get there early for a seat...

neighborhood bar. Parasol's is a great neighborhood bar. If you live in the hood and want to feel at home while drinking and eating well, then this is your place. Goldie, Frankie, and Debbie are great to party with! Thanks Jeff for having such a great place.
