Editorial Review for House of Blues Restaurant – by Kevin Forest Moreau

The Scene
Folk art is perfectly placed, theater-style ropes keep admission lines orderly, and efficient employees prowl the grounds with headsets or walkie-talkies. HOB proudly hawks its courtyard and takes a local role by hosting special events such as benefit concerts. Top-level talent and customer service make it hard to resent this chain that takes ways from homegrown venues. The company's deep pockets lure an eclectic range of big-name touring acts, from Ziggy Marley to Frank Black. The club also hosts shows by burgeoning local bands every month.

The Food
The dining room is huge and busy, seating nearly 300. Service is quick and friendly. HOB has po' boys, jambalaya and etouffee, but carnivores should try the slow-smoked baby-back ribs with tangy Jack Daniels BBQ sauce.

what more can be said about this joint. House of Blues is a staple of the city. I went to the back section of HOB for a private function, the bartenders mixed drinks well and I had a lentils pasta which was delicious.
