Ducked into the restaurant to get out of a downpour. We were not ready for a complete meal, just wanted to grab a sandwich in a casual atmosphere, so we went to the bar area. Dining room looked very nicely set up for a nice evening. Bartenders were very friendly. Sandwiches at the bar were great. Loved the crab cake sandwich (po boy). Flaming Joe's Mexican Coffee was a delicious and entertaining beverage.
Pros: friendly staff, locals and tourists

My boyfriend and I found this place by accident -- we were looking for broiled crawfish and just stepped in and asked if they had it. We sat in the courtyard next to the fountain = very cute... my boyfriend loved it too! We're broke college students, so we only had appetizers since it was 4 in the afternoon, but the gator sausage, broiled crawfish, and gumbo were all very flavorful and savory!! Our waiter was VERY friendly and helpful: he taught us his way of eating the crawfish and chatted with us about New Orleans & Bourbon St before/after Katrina.
Pros: Food, atmosphere, service
Cons: Found by accident
