Run-down Charm, Excellent Dishes. Located in the heart of the French Quarter, Country Flame is a short walk from the Decatur or Bourbon Street action, and its eroded decor flirts with hole-in-the-wall status. But the food here is great, and much more than simple Mexican fare. There are also more "Americanized" options for tourists or diners with recovering stomachs.
