For obscure and prominent local acts, the "Factory," as it's known, is the first place to look. Stocking the music of new and more successful established acts, it also sports a sizable selection of quality used CDs, plus a large selection of T-shirts and hard-to-find items, including memorabilia from the golden age of jazz. Catch in-store performances by up-and-comers and the occasional famous act most every Saturday afternoon. Abita beer co-sponsors the gigs and gives its beverages away.
