The Scene – The vibe at this local chain's flagship store in the French Quarter is fashionable but friendly--plenty of space and inviting furniture ease the pressure of browsing on the high end. Not worth the price

They didn't have that great of a selection, and the staff is snobby and a half! The clothes are all out-pricing any of the locals, and their not very flattering clothes nor do they refelct the style around here. The pieces are a little bizarre; perhaps a store better suited to NY.
- Pros: good location, cute looking
- Cons: pricey, low selection, bad service, odd clothes
Great selection & service

I always find what I'm looking for at Hemline and quite a few things I'm not looking for, but have to have anyway! Great designer selection (ella moss, corey lynn calter, nanette lepore) and they always have something new. Like most N.O. boutiques, customer service is great whether you walk in wearing sweats or carrying a Chloe bag. Extremely helpful, friendly service without being pushy or stuck-up.

Hemline Fine Line:
All four Hemline locations have distinct personalities. For lower prices and more casual trends, try the Maple Street store, which caters to the university crowd; the touristy Simplicity by Hemline on Royal Street has roomier and more conservative cuts.
