In Short – This Cajun-style fast food restaurant first opened in New Orleans in 1972 and has since achieved domestic and international fame for its flavorful mild and spicy chicken. Having Popeye's is not an everyday treat. You've got to do it once in a while. For vegetarians, it tastes better in New Orleans than anywhere else. The red-beans and rice and fries are worth giving up some other fast food joint, the biscuits are what do you in if you're on a diet, but they're so good. This Canal street location is quite clean, plays NO music and is spacious.
