Horrible.
I use to like this Resturant a lot. OMG i thought it was the greatest. Until someone treated me for my Birthday and the food was cold the ribs look like they were pick on and starved to death. The spinch dip was cold . I told the waiter and she went and heated the food up.she didnt bring a fresh plate the same poor looking ribs and the spinch dip that i had ate out

Horrible service.
We made reservations at Houston's , which could not be found.
The manager treated us like if we were dumb. I will not return to such place, understand people, you have to be nice or eventually you will go out of buss.

The Worst.
This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in New Orleans. The staff was snobbish and as cold as the food. My mother-in-law had to excuse herself from the table in order to vomit. When I finally tracked down a manager (Julie), it was implied that the problem was somehow with my party and the service and food were beyond reproach. I will be sure to tell everyone I see about my terrible experience. Please do not waste money or time on this place. There are too many fantastic places to dine in New Orleans!

rather disappointing.
The staff organization and service at the St. Charles Avenue location were exceedingly poor. Though I had conventional expectations for seating and serving, the managment uttlerly failed in the most fundamental respects. Menu is what one would expect from a chain restaurant. There are far too many supurb dining alternatives in the City of New Orleans to waste an evening here. As a New Orleanian, I'm embarrased to admit to having dined at Houston's.

Live Jazz and Great Food.
Wife took me to Houston's for my birthday and treated me to a great Prime Rib. The food was good, and the service attentive. We enjoyed the music and the occasion.

Roomy banquettes and hefty portions typify this polished American grill that's popular for business deals and special occasions..
In Short
Burnished brass and stained wood complement roughly mortared brick and the occasional plant. Amid ubiquitous earth tones, corporate types and small parties (celebrating or simply living large) occupy deep booths done up in fine upholstery and lit from above by pin spotlights. Burgers, prime rib and steaks are the specialties of the house, but the menu also includes salmon, salads, pork chops and roasted chicken.

I like this place!.
Family and friends and food. Me... Tuna (oh by the way don't order the tuna) not enough for the hungry man. Yea, I'll go back next time with my wife's family from Montreal.
More to come in the next review.

YOU'VE GO TO BE KIDDING!.
Look, HOUSTON'S is good, but top ten? Not a chance.
I find the steak menu dated, and frankly, boring.
I will give them an A+++ for their service though, in that category I would agree that they are definately top ten.

Consistancly Good - Anyplace.
I always look for a Houston's in whatever city I'm in, from Coral Gables, Atlanta, Houston or Austin.
Their quality, service and setting is always first class and the food is always exellent. I can take business guests there without a worry about the food or service, regardless of the city.
