Great bike shop!. Been going to these guys for years and they've never steered my wrong! Great mechanics, friendly, helpful staff that always give me good advice. Highly recommended!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Dishonest Service and staff.. I have to agree with TOm504 when he said HORRIBLE SERVICE. I bought a Giant Sedona and took it into Bicycle World for the "Free" 30 day inspection. When my wife and I went in to pick up the bike, the counter girl brought it down stairs from an 2nd floor room, and hurried it to the front door. She opened the door and said "Thank You, Good-Bye" but never let me look at the bike and never handed me any paperwork. She seemed like she was trying to hustle out the door quickly. That made me suspicious.

I stopped her and looked the bike over carefully before she got it out of the shop. I'm glad I did because they had swapped out the original adjustable neck for the handlebars with a lower priced "fixed position" neck. I immediately told her this is not the same piece that was on the bike days earlier when I brought the bike in.

A man came out from the repair area, I didn't get his name, and looked at the bike and agreed it was not the original piece, and told me the original piece must have been defective and was changed. I asked where is the paper work detailing that defective part and why was I not told about the swapped out original neck? No one telephoned me to discuss the parts replacement. I got a bunch of BS and double talk that the original piece was defective, but the repair guy couldn't tell me what the defect was. I demanded the orignal piece or would return with my lawyer.

They replaced the BOA fixed position neck piece with a different model of Giant adjustable neck for me, but only after about 10-15 minutes of heated conversations and demands from me that they produce the work order or other paperwork detailing the defect and need for replacement.

THESE PEOPLE ARE RIP-OFFS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

THEY PERMANENTLY LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER WHEN THEY TRIED TO RIP ME OFF AND HUSTLE ME OUT OF THE SHOP WITHOUT CONSULTING ME OF THE SWAPPED OUT PARTS!!!

Biccle World Jefferson Hwy. Bicycle World is the only real N.O. bike shop open on Sundays; others advertise open but aren't.

B-W is a full-service outfit with good stock of parts & accesories.

They do most minor repairs on-the-spot and have a 3-4 day turnaround for large problems or tune-us. The mechanics are knowledgeable & helpful. They won't try to sell you something you don't need.



Parking is right in front (Very important in N.O.)

Caveat: The counter girl just doesn't know, squat, so talk to the guys in back.



My next bike will definitely come from B-W.

Great Shop. These guys really know thier stuff! I've had some repairs done there over the years, and the work has always been top notch, bought a few accessories and liked the selection, so when it finally came time for a new bike I went over there to see what they had. They asked a bunch of questions about my riding, made some suggestions, then let me test ride several bikes. After I made my choice they made sure it fit perfectly, then loaded it into my car for me (nothing new, every time they fixed my bike they helped put it in my car). Best bike shop in the area BY FAR!‎

Okay. I orginally posted a negative review of Bicycle World of Louisiana.

I went back to Bicycle World of New Orleans this morning for an accessory and was pleasantly suprised by the service.

I give it an average at this point.

Horrible Service. I stopped by here awhile back to get a part I needed for a broken bike. They told me that i not only did not know what I was talking about, i needed to bring it by for their experts to fix my bike for me. So I drove myself to another local bike shop and picked up the part for under 10$ and screwed it onto my bike. Took me less than hour and it has worked perfectly ever since.

I don't know how long or how much it would have cost for these guys to fix my bike for me and don't care to find out. Avoid at all costs, unless of course you like being treated like trash.
