No need for a mountain to climb; a warehouse in Lakeview has one inside.. The Scene
This is the one and only rock-climbing gym in New Orleans. All kinds climb here, from the pink-haired high schooler to executives looking for a little post-work stress release. A banner reads, "Double-check your harness, rope, partner and attitude. And remember, it's only fun if you live to tell."

The Workout
There's more than 5,000 square feet of textured climbing surface in a warehouse with a floor covered in shredded rubber, making any unexpected landing a little easier. In the middle of the room is a four-sided island wall for more options. There are climbs for all abilities, including overhangs and bouldering. Harnesses, shoes and carabiners are available for rent. Clinics and private lessons are available, regardless of experience.
