Overpriced and terrible service.
Imagine this- you wait at the door for several minutes at a crowded restaurant where nobody even acknowledges you. Finally, you get added to a list by a girl who doesn't even make eye contact with you. Then you wait for fifteen minutes before your waiter gets to your table. You wait even longer for your food which is terribly overpriced and mediocre. My husband's burger was charred and my shrimp platter could hardly be called a platter. Have these people ever seen a what a platter looks like? It usually has a whole lot of food and not just a few sad looking shrimp with fries. The waiter never asked us how our food was, tried to clear the table while we were still eating and then doesn't even ask us if we wanted something else before slapping the bill down. It is too bad- it could be a nice neighborhood joint. Trust me though, in this city, You can find better food and service.

Awesome.
I lived in New Orleans for a couple years and this place was right down the street from me. The burgers were always juicy and not to mention the huge portion. On top all of that the baked potato just made everything that much better. I highly recommend this place for a good burger at a good price.

This nautical-themed neighborhood eatery has a way with beef and rum..
The Scene
Sailors and submarine captains will feel right at home here. The partition between the bar and dining room is always at full sail, the underwater-themed mural recalls many a Disney feature, and life preservers are always overhead should someone have a few too many Willie Willies.
The Food
Long ago, Lakeview Harbor served only burgers. The menu has since expanded to include chicken and steaks, but its burgers are still the best. These super-size sandwiches feature a half-pound of perfectly grilled choice chuck. Opt for the works on the accompanying baked potato for a full-fledged feast. The restaurant's tropical drinks bring a bit of the islands to New Orleans. Fruit juice and rum mingle in concoctions with names like the Dinghy and Willie Willie for a loopy after-effect.

Burger Bountiful.
There is nothing fancy about Lakeview Harbor, but when you are craving a burger, it's the place to go. There are no parking hassles, just drive up to the door. You can take your family and everyone can enjoy their meal in a comfortable atmosphere.

Smoky Delight.
The Harbor is a poorly lit, smokyneighborhood joint that impresses with it's casual style and great hamburgers and baked potatoes. You won't get fries here but that's more than made up by the loaded potatoes.

SCRUMPTIOUS.
GOOD, JUICY BURGERS--THICK-CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT--FRIENDLY, PROMPT SERVICE--DRAWBACK OF HAVING TO WALK THROUGH THE SMOKERS TO GET TO THE NONSMOKING (?) TABLE

More Than Port of Call Lite.
From its nautical theme to its dark lighting and decent burger (accopmpanied by a baked potato!), this place does eerily echo Port of Call, albeit in a roundabout, neighborhood hangout kind of way. Still, the steaks and sandwiches, the appetizers (good onion rings) and the distinctive ambience give Lakeview its own identity, and it's a good one. A great low-key dinner spot or post-event decompression chamber.
