Rude Owners and Tastless Food. Very Disappointing! I have been a restaurant manager for over 10 years and have never seen anything so sad. I have never written a review however; the owner was not interested in finding out why I did not like the food or service. He told me it was because the server was his wife. Wow! I asked the server if she could substitute any type of vegetables for pasta she said she didn't know if they had any vegetables left. I then asked if they could do a grilled tomato or a side of lettuce or any type of vegetable it didn’t matter and she said the chef cut the tomatoes. I asked if I could have a few slices of tomato and she replied that she did not know how many they had. The fish was supposed to be grilled however; it came out pan seared in a puddle of oil. I told he the fish was supposed to be grilled and she said it was. I told her I did not want my fish is a puddle of oil and she said that is the way it comes. These owners had no interest in customer satisfaction nor do they have a clue as to how to run any type of business. With restaurants everywhere, no wonder there restaurant is always without customers.

Of the five guests at our table, the only one who liked their food was the one who ordered the crab cakes. I doubt crab cakes can save this business. Not with narrow-minded owners like that who are only interested in collecting the money and no interest in the one who is giving the money. Good Luck Guys. I have a feeling your going to need a lot more than luck to keep that sinking ship afloat. For every customer who complains, there are 30 who do not and never return.

Disappointing!. Our recent visit to Mimi?s was very disappointing and we would not go back anytime soon. Members of our group ordered the pork chop, the filet, the seafood stuffed eggplant and the red beans and rice. None were spectacular. The filet and the chop were average in flavor, were not cooked to the requested doneness and were very small for their price. The side dishes were similarly disappointing ? small and flavorless. Potatoes are cheap so you would think they would at least give a generous portion of those to offset the pricier meat. Not so! The red beans were mediocre ? they were not completely eaten as a result. The eggplant contained a good stuffing but was undercooked and unpleasantly firm. The appetizers were better although not large ? I can recommend the crabcake as quite tasty. But decent crabcakes can be found at other places where the rest of the menu is as good. It is not worth a trip to Mimi?s just for one decent appetizer. Some members of our party had eaten at Mimi?s in the past and found it to be much better. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day or perhaps they?ve just gone downhill over time.

Good atmosphere and Great food. Courteous and helpful from the moment we walked in. The specials of the day were our choice, but eveything on the menu was tempting. A great place for a special evening out.

hidden gem. i'm very glad that i found this restaurant. the food is great, the servers are attentive, and there's a great wine selection. the daily specials are always good and the key lime pie for two is to die for! entree prices range from $13 - $22.
