A lot of local hip-hop talent became involved in music through their association with Peaches. The store specializes in vinyl for the DJ and re-mix crowd, including 12-inch vinyl and more cassettes than other smaller stores. But despite this recent shift to rap and hip-hop, Peaches still carries a considerable collection of classic soul, jazz and gospel. It is primarily a record store, selling only a small amount of music accessories such as disc cleaners and such, and no posters or T-shirts.
