THE BEST VEAL PARMIGIANA AROUND ME AND MY WIFE DROVE ALL THE WAY FROM JACKSON COUNTY MS JUST TO HAVE LUNCE THERE. THE SERVICE WAS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD. WE WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE 5 STARS. THEY ALSO HAVE HOT BREADS SUCH AS GARLIC BREAD CHEESE BREAD, SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE BREAD MAN ON MAN CAN GAIN SOME WEIGHT HERE.

Venezia has reopened!. Good news! Venezia has reopened for lunch and dinner! The restaurant has been renovated, but has retained its neighborhood atmosphere and charm. The food is as good as always and the service is just as friendly as before Katrina. I have been three times since they reopened and plan to have lunch there today!

Classic Italian home-cooking in a room unchanged since the '60s--at least.. The Scene
Time travel, without the machine. The front room's lighting is subdued by a burgundy ceiling. Old paintings of the mother country (some crooked) line the walls. Patrons are local families with huge appetites.

The Food
Count on the same traditional Italian cooking Venezia has prepared since 1947. Portions are enormous and filling. Seafood, veal, chicken and pasta dishes comprise the four-page menu. And the thin crust pizza is smothered in mozzarella. For a huge, yet very satisfying selection, try the trout Cynthia: flaky, light trout covered in a thick dill cream sauce with shrimp and crawfish and an unbutton-your-belt plate of spaghetti with red sauce on the side. Another winner is the eggplant Vatican, a fried eggplant shell filled with shrimp, crawfish and crabmeat in a dill cream sauce and served with a fettuccine Alfredo side.

The best deal in Mid-City. Excellent Italian food, great service without the price tag. The eggplant vatican is out of this world.

GRRRRREAT!!. The food is great. Awesome atmosphere. Value for the food is excellent. I would highly recommend visiting. The pizza is probably the best in the city.

Stuffed. I cannot go to Venezia's and leave at the same weight I entered with. The trout Cynthia is as good as their is. The rest of the menu is out of this world.
