Awesome. I have not had gelato this good since I was in Italy!!!
A Real Treat!. Brocato's is truly a real treat. It has been renovated since Katrina, so it is now slightly larger than before (thank goodness!) Be prepared for a line on weekend nights. Seating is limited as well. Parking isn't always very convenient, BUT it is definitely worth it!
When you are craving sweets....
I love the old time ambience of this place, yes parking is not highly available, but so worth it!
the strawberries and cream ice cream is so great , and the cheesecake i'd rival to my favorites in New York!
the ice cream is Very fresh, they make it every day...
It is unlike any other Ice Cream I have ever had in my entire life (including homemade)
it is a must try!
Nirvana for sweet tooths, particularly those with a penchant for classic Italian desserts..
The shelves at Angelo Brocato's homey Mid-City location burst with more than a dozen varieties of baked Italian treats. Ice cream coolers fill up most of the remaining space. Ceiling fans, iron chairs and tables with marble tops complete the store's old-time feel.
Brocato's packs a lot of sugar into its sweet little space. Crush your craving with an extensive selection of ice creams--nearly 31 flavors, from chocolate to spumoni. Or try fruit ices made with fresh raspberries, peaches and other seasonal fruits; they're lighter than ice cream, but more substantial than a snowball. Of course, for many, the pastries are the star at this family business. It's hard to choose from among Napoleons, eclairs, tiramisu and cannoli. Go with a group and order one of each.
best ice cream EVER. Angelo Brocato is definitely the place to go for flavorful ice cream at ridiculously low prices. They also have an amazing dessert selection which I have yet to try as I can't seem to make it past the ice cream. If you're in New Orleans and love ice cream, you've gotta try this place.
Heaven on Earth???.
Quite possible if Ice Cream is the savior!
Angelo Brocato's Ice Cream is so rich, it would make Bill Gates jealous. My favorite is the coffee flavor, but so many others are excellent. And the other dessert choices offer a pleasant vacation from the usual processed sugar you find in the grocery stores.
Fabulously sinful. Best ice cream ever! Family owned and operated.Courteous, at-home service. I go there every time I'm in New Orleans.
