Always great service with delivery and good food. Never looking to be knock over with pizza but this place does a good job. The phone service and delivery is always very nice and done in a timely manner. Will continue to do business here.
mmmmm...happy with food and service. Friendly phone service and delivery person. Pizza was good, nice crust and arrived hot! Salad was so-so but edible. Fast service!
Good Not Great. I eat here more out of convenience than anything else. The food is good, but not great. The service is great though. I like the ambience as well. The pizzas, well, are pizzas. Nothing special really.
Where's the sauce?. Sorry Reginelli's, but your pizza doesn't cut it. It may have lots of toppings, but where's the sauce? Olive oil on the crust makes it "Italian?" Sorry, but this is America! Come up to Baton Rouge and let De Angelo's show you how to make a real pizza.
Good Gourmet Pizza. This pizza is the best and there is none like it. It is true Italian Pizza made with Olive Oil instead of Tomato Sauce. My favorite is Tony's Play and the Meditarannean Pizza's. In fact, I get 1/2 & 1/2 bc I can never just eat one style. There are 2 locations, but uptown is my favorite. The service is always prompt and seating is always pretty quick. I can't find pizza anywhere else like it. Highly recommended.
Tasty pizzas on an Uptown stretch of trendy Magazine Street..
The Scene
Super-sized blowups of Piaggio scooters, along with a slate-and-ochre color scheme and retro tables, give the Uptown location of this five-restaurant local chain a fun, hip feel. Patrons range from seniors to young families, with a preponderance of students from surrounding universities.
The Food
Reginelli's strongest offering--a mean, medium-crust pizza--comes in many incarnations. Meat lovers opt for Tony's Play (pepperoni, pancetta, prosciutto and a few veggies). Others worth a bite are the Veggie Roast (roasted red pepper sauce with roasted eggplant, garlic, red onion and Gorgonzola) and the Mediterranean (sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, fresh spinach, roasted red peppers and garlic). Focaccia sandwiches also satisfy, especially the Dream State (goat cheese, pancetta and roasted veggies). Salads are huge--the Boston with hearts of palm, avocado, tomatoes and artichoke is a meal in itself. If there's room for dessert, try the chocolate truffle cake.
good pie, bad prices. Reginelli's has the best pizza crust, without question. Their Mediterranean pizza is my favorite in the city. But I didn't vote for them because their service sucks. Even though we live five blocks away, delivery has taken up to an hour and the pie's been cold. Also none of their sandwiches are vegetarian. The Pita Press sandwiches are a serious ripoff, costing 6 bucks for pita bread and not much else. Reginelli's, your rating will go up when you add veggie options and tone down prices.
Great and generous calzones. At every pizza restaurant I try, I order a plain cheese pizza. If it passes, next visit is a plain cheese calzone. Both have been excellent and quite large. I highly recommend them.
Pizzalicious. Reginellli's has a very good selection of original combinations of pizza's. Their prices are a little higher than your pizza chains nut well worth it. They have a great salad dressing too, sun dried tomato. I would rate them a 10 but no one is perfect.
