One of the friendliest gay meeting spots in the city..
The Scene
It always feels like happy hour inside this gay "Cheers," smack in the middle of the busy French Quarter club crawl. Gay men are in the majority, but everyone is welcome. You'll see singles, couples, tourists, locals, circuit kids, drag queens, barflies and everyone in between.
The Draw
A beautiful mahogany bar is the centerpiece. Pool tables help pass the time; downstairs, high-energy dance music and videos provide a continual soundtrack. Things are usually quieter upstairs in the Queen's Head Pub, except on Sunday afternoons when it becomes a tea-time piano bar. Be sure to take in the view from the balcony, which is an especially coveted location during Mardi Gras, Southern Decadence or the annual Barkus dog parade.

the best bar in new orleans.
Good Friends is the best place to drink in the city, with a nice, clean atmosphere, comfortable seats, and a friendly staff. The open air of the lower lounge, along with the central bar, makes for a good time to be had by all.
