We had the opportunity to visit New Orleans this past Memorial Day and have lunch at this eatery. It took approximately 10-15 minutes to get seated. They appeared to be short staffed. Our waitress was prompt and the service was good. Being from Pennsylvania this was my first opportunity to eat true creole/cajun food. Food was very good. The most memorable part of the day was getting the opportunity to speak to the manager who took the time to share his experience of hurricane Katrina and the aftermath. I will definitely go back to this restaurant of I am ever back in New Orleans.
Pros: Good food
Cons: slow seating

New Orleans is such a great foodie town that nobody should make the mistake we did by eating at this awful spot. The wait was about 15 minutes for no other obvious reason than the surly disorganized hostess. We should have walked out when another couple left announcing they had not been served since arriving. We should have also walked out when the guy at the next table couldn't order an egg white omelet because the chef "doesn't do that." Unfortunately we stayed. My wife was charged $4 for substituting potatoes for grits. Her omelet was mediocre and my crawfish etoufee/shrimp creole combo was just bad. Very little seafood and terribly bland sauces. The service was as bad as everyone else said, but the three-star average doesn't do justice to the terrible experience.
