Horrible food, I've had better Creole and Cajun in Denver. And the service was extremely slow, thanks in part to the loud constant bickering we heard coming from the kitchen. Recommended by a local, but I think they were just trying to exchange business. Stay away!
Wonderful!!. I've been to "N'awlins" several times over the past five years and have eaten in many fine restaurants. The one I keep going back to is Rita's. The ambiance is so much fun. It's not a tourist trap. And the food, ah, the food. The best catfish po'boy anywhere, and the bread pudding with brandy sauce is amazing. Rita's is colorful and lively, and the food is just outstanding. Don't pass this place up.
FOOD NIGHTMARE. I was in New Orleans about 3 years ago and was told by a local that Rita's had the best food in New Orleans. Went there a week ago and the food was the worst food I ever ate. This is the god's honest truth. The crabs in the gumbo were old. I took a bite in the claws and the crab meat was black with a sour taste and smell. The jambayala was only served with pasta not rice like everywhere else. The crawfish pie was also terrible! My bill was nearly 45. dollars for 2 adults 1 child. I'm from Houston and we have much better Creole food here and we have rice with our jambayala. Maybe Rita needs to visit Houston to get some ideas on cooking.
