Mandeville location - Rude & Pushy – To be honest, Severn's location is the friendliest by far. Stopped by to purchase gift certificate and treat myself since the weather was so nasty. Unfortunately, I was not dressed for shopping due to the inclement weather. Walked in and was stared up and down. Very uncomfortable to say the least with the sales associate's attitude. She immediately turned around to make eye contact with a co-worker and did not say another word. Wow, judging a book by it's cover! Extremely disappointing. My motto "Treat others as you'd expect to be treated". Very disappointed. Needless to say, I left empty handed.
Earthsavers-Overpriced, Overbooked, Unfriendly – Earthsavers is lacking in critical areas. For starters the staff is so rude and snobby. This has been my experience whether I am coming to shop in the store, or for an appointment. This is the opposite of the philosophy they try to convey in their marketing.
I also felt so rushed both before and after my appointment. Perhaps they have become so busy that they take for granted how they approach each person.
There are better spas in the area where you can have a real day spa experience for around the same price. I love buying and supporting local stores, but after some research I have found an inviting day spa. Most importantly I can walk in and feel like a valued guest, which certainly helps the relaxation process!
So glad to have a spa/store like this in NOLA – amazing amazing amazing. So much attention to detail and excellence. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, I felt welcomed and taken care of. Whether you're receiving a spa treatment or just browsing the store, you'll feel like you've given yourself a mini-retreat. And who doesn't need one of those?
Awesome Spa – I have been to many places to get manicures and pedicures and I can honestly say that Earthsavers is more expensive than your average "nail shop", but their manicure/pedicure lasts a hell of a lot longer because they prep the nail more effectively then any place else. I have had multiple facials and massages and the staff that I have encountered have all been amazing and full of information and advice. I have never had a problem at either location: Metairie or New Orleans, even though I prefer New Orleans because I am always going there. I love this place!!!
acceptable; not ideal, not bad – mag. st. locale. Only been once. Great massage. Distracted a bit by pop-style lobby music that could be heard a little thru wall! It disurbes the peace. Massages are upstairs. When I had to use restroom, had to go all way downstairs to open lobby in robe (uncomfortable/embarrassing).
WORST PLACE EVER – I went to the Mandeville Location for a pedi/wax. Me and my friends ordered the best pedicures that were very expensive. We got there 15 minutes late becuase we unexpectantly ran into some trouble. I called to inform them we would be late. Once we got there they said they were only going to perform mini-pedis. Okay, no big deal I could understand becuase we were late. THE PEDICURES WERE HORRIBLE. One of my friends didn't even get her feet scraped. Basically my pedi consited of having my toenails clipped and painted & they STILL CHARGED us for the full services. They could have performed the full services because when we were done there was no one else there. Our bill was $180.00 for the worst pedicures i've ever had in my life. I will never be back to this place.
Horrible Staff – I thought the first time I attended the uptown location, everyone was just having a rough day...I tried a second time and realized they were just unprofessional. ALL locations seem to be this way. The staff continuously gossips and seems as if a simple question isn't worth their time. I wish Earthsavers would be more welcoming because they have great potential.
great spa – Great place to work and get services. Top of the line produce and highly qualified staff.
Never Again – I was not looking my best when I went to redeem my gift card for a free pedicure. I thought I was going to be relaxed. They sat me at the pedicure station which was a long bench with over sized pillows. Already I was miserable. I could not get comfterable. Everyone who worked there seemed to be preoccupied with gossip. The feeling that I had was that I was unimportant and that I didn't belong there. Well the pedicure was not impressive. I felt as though I had not even had a pedicure 2 days later when the polish came off. When I went to the desk to pay the girl says "45" and I respond "well i have this card and I was told it was good for a pedicure." She then informs me quite smugly that It does not include gratuity. If you want a good pedicure read my review of The Albert Brown Salon and then go see Katie. She will make you feel special no matter what you look like or even if you have a gift certificate.
Nothing to rave about – The inside of Earthsaver is extremely relaxing, but, as we all know, looks can be deceiving. The women who gave me my bikini wax seemed to be in a rush or upset; she waxed the same areas over and over and it became unbearable. Also, the receptionist notified me at the register, appartently, they charge extra for using purple wax. If you want a bikini wax, don't go here. Try a place like Aveda.
