I went to this bar recently. The place is nice. I went to get a round of beers for me and some friends. The bill was $12 for 4 beers and as I went to close my tab I was told that I had to buy $8 more worth of drinks. Apparently there is a $20 minimum on all credit card purchases which I was not informed about. I was forced into buying more beer. I find this a bit unethical, because not only does it force you to drink more than you would want, but it also breaks the Mastercard and Visa terms of service. Do not go here without cash or just do not go at all. They only care about taking advantage of the customers.

A laid-back haven for students, service-industry types and nightcrawlers of all stripes.. In Short
Nestled into a residential Uptown neighborhood, F&M's cozy-yet-bustling environment perfectly complements its surroundings. The main bar feels like a friend's living room, while the outdoor patio takes on the air of a backyard barbecue (the grill, which serves decent munchies, is a plus). The place attracts a cross section of students, musicians, professionals and just-off-work waiters and bartenders.

thursday night college scene. This bar is a must for anyone whos anyone in Tulane on a Thursday night. Alkways find everyone you know there and even meet some new people. Huge frat scene. MUST be drunk before you come here. NEVER come sober as it gets too crowded at the bar and the drinks are expensive. Night always leads to something interesting

Great Saturday night. F&M's offers a great atmosphere especially for the late night crowd. It's packed with college students and new orleans locals. The highlights consist of late night dancing and a photo booth. Also the outside patio provides space when this bar gets too crowded. It's a good place to intermix with locals. However remember to bring cash. The atm is always out.
