The Scene
Almost like New York City's famed gourmet delis, Martin Wine Cellar is well stocked with exotic comestibles and vintages from around the world. Aisles are stacked with wines ranging from the affordably tasty to the oenophile's dream, including rarities that make fabulous gifts. Dried salamis dangle, cases are packed with prepared treats and shelves spill over with a veritable United Nations of international snack crackers, gourmet sauces and other goodies in cans and jars with labels not written in English.
The Draw
Besides a standard selection of gourmet deli, cheese, candy and other mouthwatering offerings to take home, Martin Wine Cellar also whips up gift baskets and custom-labeled wine to wow family and friends. Both the New Orleans and Metairie locations have fully stocked deli counters, too, so stop by for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch.

My husband's new favorite place to fill up our wine rack. Great selection of wines, mostly Fench. Great selection of vodkas and scotches. They also have an enviable array of specialty condiments. Easily one of the best wine stores in town. They also feature a small cafe in store with delightful sandwiches and wine by the glass.

The Cellar has wines, beers, liquors, specialty foods, desserts, and condiments. In addition they have a lunch counter and dining area set up up so that you can try some of the things they sell. Handicapped accessible. Famous actors have been seen shopping in here.

Martin on the Move, Pt. I:
Don't keep these local goodies all to yourself. "Martin's," as folks as often call it, ships nonperishable gift baskets all over.
Martin on the Move, Pt. II:
Martin Wine Cellar also does off-site catering with menus ranging from simple finger sandwiches to elevated fare like caviar-topped deviled eggs, Macadamia nut-encrusted shrimp with mango chutney, and a New York-style smoked salmon platter.
