good indian food in the south!. It's hard to find Indian food in the south, but they have a great selection between the menu and the buffet if you want to try more items. The staff isn't exactly friendly or sociable, and you usually need to flag them down when you need something. But their food is excellent, and the location is great.
good indian food. Good ambience. Very passable food. good service -- Maybe 2 years ago in the area, this place would have been unique. Today there are not soooo many excellent and cheap places in the area that this place almost feels. Food is very good for the money charged. Decent ambience. great service. There are not so many cheaper and better Indian restaurants close by.
great samosas. I once ordered some 40 somosas here for a class project. It was cheap, the sources were hot and spicy and savory. The buffet is just as great and the prices are decent. It has good seating arrangements and relatively decent parking options.

Best Indian food in NOLA. This is the spot. There were a couple of restaurants I NEEDED to open after Hurricane Katrina and this was at the top of my list. Buffet is always plentiful, delicious, hot (temperature and some spicy dishes) with a wide selection to choose from. Service has always been great. We try to have lunch there once a week at least. Try a mango fruit drink, even though it'll set you back about $3.
